Chapter 35: Angela

After the strippers were done performing, they packed up and left. We continued to sing and dance. As Flo Rida's GDFR (Going Down For Real) song played, the room was rocking. Jessica tapped me on the shoulder and asked,

"Can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Okay, let's go to the back." I replied.

We went into the back area where the bed was. We both sat down on the bed.

"I'm not sure how to start..." Jessica hesitatingly said.
"Well, let me say this. I know I don't know much about you. All I know is that you're Laurent's ex girlfriend. I find it strange he never told me about you. And I hope you're not here to start some mess." I firmly but kindly expressed.
"I'm not here to start any drama. But I do feel like there's something you need to know. I hope you can respect that." Jessica said.
"Alright, well talk to me." I replied.
"I have a daughter and I believe Laurent is the father." Jessica said.

When she said that, my mind was completely blown. My mouth was open, but no words escape my lips. I was in such shock. As soon as she said,

"I'm sorry,"

I pushed her off the bed and screamed,

"Are you serious?" I jumped on top of her and choked her.

Jessica's hands scratched my shoulders and as she struggled to get me off of her. The more she screamed for help, the tighter my grip became on her neck. When Jessica was free from me, she kicked me off of her. I flew into the dresser. As much as I was hurting, my anger wouldn't let me stop. I charged at her and slammed her on the bed. As I pulled her hair, Lylah and Kiauna yanked me off of Jessica. Destiny and my other friends rushed in the room.

"What the hell is going on?" Lylah shouted.
"Are you okay? What happened?" Kiauna asked as her hand brushed my hair.
"That bitch fucked my man!" I screamed.
"Who are you calling a bitch?" Jessica shouted and tried to break free from Destiny.
"You, bitch!" I shouted back.
"Hey, hey, calm down!" Lylah yelled.
"We know that. That's why she's his ex." Destiny pointed out.
"She had a baby by him!" I screamed and pointed to Jessica.
"What! Get that BITCH!" Kiauna said and let me go.

As I charged towards Jessica, Destiny quickly put her hands out towards me.

"Destiny, move." I demanded.
"Angie, calm down." Destiny said in a calm voice.

I could see the fear on Destiny's face. I took a few breaths, trying to calm down. When I finally reached a state of calmness, I stared at Jessica.

"I need you to get the hell out of here." I said and pointed to the door.

Jessica ran out of the hotel room. My friends gathered around me in a attempts to comfort me. I turn to Kiauna and said,

"I need you to take me to Laurent's party."
"Alright, let's go." Kiauna said and led the group.

We marched down the hallway like an angry mob. When we arrived to Larry's room, I banged on the door several times. As the door opened, Mike peeked his head out and said,

"Ladies, what's good?"
"Is Laurent here?" I calmly asked.

Mike took a second to examine us. He gave us a strange look. Mike tucked his head into the room and yelled,

"Laurent! Your girl is here!"

Once the door open wider Laurent came out.

"Hey baby, you looking sexy." Laurent said in attempted to hug me.

I pushed his hands away. I looked into his eyes and realized he was high.

"Since when do you smoke weed?" I questioned.
"Oh babe, don't trip. I only had a little bit. You okay?" Laurent replied with a smile.
"Wipe that smile off your face." I demanded.

Laurent put his serious face on and said,
"What's the problem?"
"What's the problem? My problem is your ex girlfriend's telling me that you could be the father of her child. That's my problem!" I shouted.
"What!" Laurent yelled in confusion.
"Is it true, Lau? " I asked; trying to hold back my tears.
"No... I don't know." Laurent replied.
"What you mean you don't know? You cheating on me with Jessica?" I shouted.
"Nah! I ain't seen her since I broke up with her. And that was way before I even met you." Laurent yelled.
"Oh, really?" I yelled back.
"Yeah, really? Babe, why are you doing this?" Laurent sadly asked.

When I looked at him; his eyes began to fill up with water.

"Babe, could it... be...yours?" I asked as I rubbed his cheek.

Laurent bit his lip, looked down and said,

"Yes."

He took my breath away with just one word. I closed my eyes as the tears rolled down my face. Laurent opened his arms to hold me. When he attempted to hug me, I slapped Laurent in the face.

"Oh shit!" Kiauna quickly said in a low voice.
"The wedding is off." I said.

I could hear everyone grasp for air in complete shock. Larry came out of the room and said,

"What's going on out here?"
"Ang, baby, please don't do this." Laurent begged.
"Go to hell." I replied and ran down the hallway.

I wasn't sure where I was going. All I knew was I needed to get away.
