'Why is everything so loud?' I can barely form the thought due to the overwhelming sensations surrounding me. It's too loud. 'I can't open my eyes' I realize, as I try to figure out where I am. 'Shouldn't I be dead?'
"Congratulations, she's a girl. Here's your baby." The distorted sounds fuse together to make voices as I distantly feel myself being lifted, and then pressed against something warm. 'Someone' I realize as it shifts.
"Have you chosen a name?" A gentle male voice questions. "Nobuko, Nobuko Sasaki." "That sounds familiar" A memory of an anime flashes through my mind as I drift off, too tired to make sense of the situation I'm in.
