"... Professor Oobleck?" Weiss asked, the team all still being confused by their assigned Huntsman. Well, except Ruby of course, who was strangely ecstatic at the situation.
"Yes, girls, seeing as you'll be shadowing me on what is now essentially a reconnaissance mission." Oobleck established, pacing back and forth almost as fast as his speech. "I can assure you, we will not be establishing a single base of operations. Rather, we will be traversing several miles of hazardous wasteland and making camp in any defendable locations we may stumble upon. I packed all of our essentials myself, plotted our air course, and readied the airship. And..." Oobleck zoomed up right to Weiss' face. "It's Doctor Oobleck. I didn't earn the PhD for fun, thank you very much!"
"Uh..."
"Come now, children. According to my schedule, we are already there minutes behind..! Schedule." Oobleck specified, zipping off to the side and immediately into an airship.
"Well, alright then!" Weiss tried to bring the mood up. "Looks like we're going to save the world with Doctor Oobleck- Oh who am I kidding, that doesn't sound cool in the slightest..."
"Save the world?!!!???!??!???" The familiar voice of Nora called out. Team BWRY turned around to see team JNPR walking up behind them. "You're going on world-saving missions without us? I'm hurt... sad! Maybe a little hungry? That last one's not your fault, though, Ren..." Nora turned to stare at Ren judgingly, with Ren just looking away and crossing his arms.
"Sounds exciting." Jaune began to say. "Where 'ya going?"
"Just outside the kingdom." Blake answered.
"Hey! So are we!" Nora exclaimed.
"Ren and Nora wanted to shadow the sheriff of a nearby town. Especially Nora. Says it's like her repeated dreams come true." Pyrrha explained.
"We set out tomorrow." Ren finished, when suddenly a very cool dude and Neptune show up.
"Then you can party with us tonight!" Neptune jumped between the two groups, giving over exaggerated movements. "We're shadowing a crime specialist. All inner-city detective stuff. We get junior badges." Jaune gasped and sparkles in awe.
"We normally go to the city with you guys, which means stuff's always exploding and stuff, so we thought this might be a better way to check out the kingdom when, you know... Ruby's not there." Sun stated, gaining a sudden head tilt and twitching eye from Ruby.
"Hey-!"
"Four minutes, ladies!" Oobleck callrd out from the ship.
"Oh look, literally anything else, let's go..." Weiss said, trying to diffuse the situation by dragging Ruby away.

"I guess I just never saw you as much of a fighter." Yang said to Oobleck, needing to shout to be heard over the ship's deafening turbines after they had taken off.
"I admit I fancy myself more of an intellectual, but I assure you, as a Huntsman, I've had my fair share of tussles."
"Like the mushrooms?" Ruby slightly tilted her head in confusion.
"Those are truffles." Blake leaned over.
"Like the sprout?"
"Those are Brussels." Yang also leaned over, with Oobleck continuing his line of thought.
"Besides, given my expertise in the field of history as well as my dabbling in archaeological surveys, our dear headmaster saw it fit to assign me to this particular... assignment!"
