I AM ALONE. Like the sun, I am just a burning ball of sunshine that can only satiate others' needs but never mine.
I stand with the transfer certificate I received from the principal's office. Jonathan shakes his head as he walks beside me, grumbling. "I don't know why you are being transferred but I am not."
I offer a wobbly smile to him as I pull out the key to my locker and unlock it to retrieve everything I have.
"Sapphira!" I turn to look back only to find my friends running toward me. My feet stagger back when they give me a tight group hug.
Eleanor glares at me. "When were you going to tell us that you are being transferred?"
Eve even glares at me too. "When did you start keeping secrets from us?"
I sigh, trying to form a smile but it is too heavy for me to even make it. "I am sorry."
She looks at Nathan, "Tell her to not go."
He shrugs looking at the other side. "It's her choice, Agustina. I have no say in it." He side-hugs me. "I am taking your belongings and requesting a box to put them in."
Even though there weren't that many things, he still took them and fled from the scene, more or less from my best friend. I shake my head at his childish act.
Multiple eyes scan my micro-movements and I feel vulnerable as I look around. Students whisper to each other as they pass by pointing their fingers and gazing at me.
Eve, observing the situation, quickly tugs me into the cafeteria and takes a seat. I am forcefully being sat by Eleanor who brings fries and a juice bottle for me. "Eat." She orders.
