"Welcoming sheeva to the seven!" Ashley exclaims I damn near wanna piss myself from the fact that homelander,starlight,the deep and A Train is staring deep into my soul right now.
"Her powers are so cool,laser sight,x ray vision,flying,super sta-"I cut her off
"Ok,that's enough it's nothing special really just like the others" I said nervously laughing.
"It's cool your like homelanders twin" yes I've heard the rumors of homelander being a complete and utter sociopath and psychopath and hates competition although I'm not here for that I can tell the look in his eyes he thinks that's what I want. "Yea" I said nervously. After a speech about America and the basic rules of being apart of the seven starlight led me to my penthouse that was decorated just for me I'd admit it was a little to much coming from the fact that I came from humbled beginnings but got used to it. I place my bag and start to unpack but need to the hit the shower from how bad I was sweating from meeting everyone. I hopped in the shower and changed into my outfit knowing I have to walk around in it 24/7. I head outside getting used to the busy ass hallways of vought employees saying hi to almost everyone who bats an eye at me for more than 5 seconds. I see my picture being hung up on the supe wall and couldn't help but smile. My phone rings and it's a message from my mom to keep my head up I smile and text her back thanks when i bump into someone and drop my phone. Me getting ready to check them I stop when I see a man with a flag for a cape. "Uh,sorry homelander my names sheeva but you can call me Layla " I said putting my hand out for a handshake "laser sight huh?" I knew he was gonna get wary about that but I couldn't control it. "Uh yea,guess we're similar" he rolls his eyes with a scoff "we're not fucking twins" he mumbled under his breath. "Well great meeting you" he says brushing pass me.
"I-that went well" i said thinking out loud. I instantly throw my hand over my mouth as I see homelander stop dead in his tracks. "What was that?" He says turning around,it's definitely in his eyes that he's insane "uh,nothing" I said speed walking away. I head to a meeting sitting in a room with the seven seemed unreal as I'm smiling and joking with A Train I look over and see homelander giving me a very bad look.
"Hey A Train,why does homelander thinks anybody similar to him is trying to steal his spot light?" instead of an answer he ignores me. Ashley starts the meeting off congratulating me once again and then switch it,a bank robbery that she task me and homelander on. "No offense,but couldn't you like tag A Train or Starlight along I'm new here" I said with a nervous chuckle nervously scratching my head. "No,that's apart of being a supe" I take it that Ashley must want me to be crucified by homelander. We head out and fly to the bank robbery. The front door was completely bombarded by the police "don't worry boys,we got this but remember you are the real heroes" there's no way he's actually serious about that speech just to make cops who actually put their life on the line feel better. After beating a couple of bad guys I caught the last one.
I put my fist through his chest taking out his heart and throwing it on the ground.
"Must've had he- homelander?" You know that look homelander gives people when he's officially done and wants to rip your organs out one by one yea that's the look he gave me. "You straight?" Instead of a response he flys out of the building. I stepped outside telling the officers and the news that the robbers are dead and everything's ok. The crowd of people started shouting my name and I couldn't help but smile. After that I headed back to vought where Ashley gave me my praise.
After all the praising and the "you did great" I entered the elevator to my penthouse. As the doors were about to shut homelander enters the elevator I didn't think much of it until he clicked the emergency stop button and took off his gloves. Before I know it I'm pinned against the wall and he's choking me "I don't who the fuck you think you are did I tell you to kill the last guy?" I could barely speak his hands were tight around my throat "homeland-I didn't-know" I said in between breaths. For the first time sympathy feels his eyes and lets go. I fall on the elevator floor getting up trying to catch my breath "what was that for?" The elevator door opens and he just walks out. These are gonna be a nice few days .
