He took birth from a Brahmin sage mother and demon father. So he had the qualities of both of them. I can tell you the story of his birth. His mother was a sage and was meditating hard to see Lord Vishnu. His father, demon King Rambhasur, saw her and was mesmerized by her beauty. He had proposed Her that she declined. His father forced on her and she later commuted suicide. From her ashes an unborn baby appeared. The wife of Rambhashur took it in her lap and it gained it's life. That was narakashur!!! The powerful demon who abducted 16,000 girls and captivated them in his dark palace of Kamakshya!!!! He was a big disciple of Devi Kamakhya and was nearly immortal in her Boon.
