This is the untold story of a wife of one of the most promising and remarkable archer of Mahabharata. Karna. This girl loved him unconditionally from the very bottom of her heart and was witness of his endless pain, suffering, dilemma and agony to p...
One pale and bloodless lady was now holding her head in her both hands. She had tiptoed out of her tent room where she was sleeping a minute ago. She could not bear to sleep in that tent room which was full of memories of her 8 young dead sons, her adored baby sisters Supriya and Uruvi along with her husband Karna. They all now we're gone!!! Forever!!! Never to come back again!!! Yet their clothes, shoes and other favourite things all were still scattered here and there!!! In the tent rooms!!! Supriya and her burnt out lamp or Akhand Jyot!!! Uruvi and her unfinished portraits!!! Karna and his remianing bows and arrows, shoes and clothes!! That did not let her live peacefully!!! So she had to sneak out of the room.
Now she was sitting upright grumpily beside the burnt out pyre of Karna by holding a ring. His favourite one that he loved to wear everyday. A gold ring adorned with pearls at the side and red Ruby at the centre!!! It was a gift to him!!! She herself gifted him it on their first wedding anniversary. It was an old ring of her father that she gave to him and he loved the gift. He even loved to wear it in the battlefield. As a symbol of good luck to him. He never detached it from himself. It was even worn by him that day when Arjuna had killed him brutally!! Only it had not been able to bring any good luck to him that day!!!

Look at her direction!!! She looked so blissful while looking at the ring!! As if she had forgotten that the owner of it would never return back to her!! He had left her alone!! Forever!!!
A beautiful girl of nineteen was now looking at her direction intently. In disbelief. She never saw her so much broken after her marriage!! She was crying fanatically for this lady!! As she had understood her agony!! As she too was undergoing the same pain!! As she too was missing her husband so badly!! She was none but Shalu or our Devi Vatsyala who had promised to her little mother Devi Uruvi to take a good care of her grieving mother-in-law Padma!! Yes the lady who was seen to admire the gold ring in her mind was none other than the main female protagonist of our story. Devi Padmavati or our Padma herself.
