"IT WAS HERE. RIGHT HERE." The group looked at the blank wall, wondering what was going on in the mind of Max Mayfield.

"The grandfather clock?" Max took a deep breath, telling the group that it looked so real. Mickey walked up behind her sister, placing a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.

"And then, I got closer, suddenly I just... woke up." It was true, the girl had been staring off as the three tried to get her attention. Mickey had never seen her sister act like that, it scared her. The younger Mayfield girl came back to reality panting, shaking.

"It was like she was in a trance or something." The older Mayfield girl took a deep breath, realizing her theory was coming to life.

"Thats what Eddie said happened to Chrissy. Probably happened to Fred too." Steve placed his hand on the girls shoulder, trying to calm his girlfriend down. Mickey immediately saw the look on her sisters face, realizing it probably scared her to know that. "I doubt it will happen to you, Max. You'll be okay. I know it." The tall Harrington boy looked down at the girls hands, seeing them tightly clenched as a sigh escaped his lips.

"Hey, we'll be back." Robin and Nancy tired to the two teens, wondering what they were doing, but Dustin knew. He saw the look Steve had given Mickey and he knew that the Harrington boy was just going to have a talk with the girl.

"So, where were we?" The tall brunette pulled Mickey out of the office, closing the door as they entered the hallway. Her fists were still clenched as she stared off into the distance.

"Mick, hey. What's wrong? You're doing it again." Mickey looked down at her hands, relaxing her hands with a deep sigh, not realizing she had been doing it. "Mick?" The red head looked up at Steve, looking into his worried brown eyes. The girl just fell into her boyfriend's arms, wrapping her arms around his torso. His arms instinctually wrapped around her, his head resting on top of hers.

"I've already lost one sibling, Steve. I'm just starting to feel better and I've finally learned how to cope. I can't go through it again." The boy rubbed up and down the girls back, comforting her as he spoke.

"It's going to be okay, Mick. She'll be okay." This is the only place Mickey ever felt safe, as cheesy as it sounded. No matter where they were, as long as she was with Steve, Mickey Mayfield knew she would be alright.

"I'm scared." It was the same for Steve, because he knew as long as he had Mickey, he would be okay. Now, Steve Harrington didn't believe in soulmates or anything, but he believed in him and Mickey. God, he never thought he would sound this cheesy, but he'd do anything for the girl.

"Max is strong, she'll be okay. I mean, she's learned from the best, huh?" The Mayfield girl chuckled as she looked up at Steve, who was already looking down at her. "It'll be alright. We'll be fine. Max is tough, she's got it." The red head nodded in agreement, moving herself out of Steve's arms.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Thank you, Steve. Seriously. I guess you're an okay boyfriend." The brunettes brows furrowed in confusion, asking why he was just an okay boyfriend. "That's for me to know and for you to worry about." The Harrington boys eyes widened as Mickey chuckled. "I'm joking, Steve. You're an amazing boyfriend. Best boyfriend I've ever had."

"I'm the only boyfriend you've ever had."

"Okay, okay, no need to go there, Harrington." The boy smiled as he placed both hands on either of Mickeys shoulders, looking into her eyes.

"You okay now?" The red head nodded as Steve spoke again. "Good. Now get your hot ass back in that office so we can figure out what the fuck we're gonna do." Mickey grinned, standing up straight to playfully salute her boyfriend, making him chuckle. "Alright."
