"SOMETHINGS HAPPENING." The group followed after the young boy through the woods, trying to avoid running into anything in front of them.

"Dustin? Can you slow down? Dustin?" Mickey groaned as she pushed through the leaves, following after Eddie, her boyfriend behind her.

"I think we're getting close." As the boy continued to walk, the Munson boy grabbed the back of his shirt, stopping him in his tracks. The Henderson boy looked down to see the edge of the water in front of him, his eyes widening.

"Watch your step, big guy." The older Mayfield girl sighed, throwing her head back in annoyance as they all came to a stop.

"You're fucking with me, right?" The group looked out onto the water, realizing it was Lover's Lake. The Mayfield girl felt a chill run down her spine, her body shaking slightly. Steve took notice, wrapping his arm around her, his hand running up and down her arm to attempt to warm her up.

"I thought these woods were familiar."

"This is confounding." Max turned to her friend, asking if there was a gate in Lovers Lake.

"Wherever the demogorgon attacked, it always left an opening. Maybe Vecna's the same way."

"Yeah, only one way to find out."

    "Easy

"Easy. I said easy, man!" As the two boys let go of the boat, the Munson boy apologized. Steve turned his body, holding out his hand for his girlfriend to help her get in. Mickey gladly took it, letting him help her as she stepped into the boat, Robin going after her. Steve turned to do the same for her but the Buckley girl placed a hand on each boys shoulder, using that to help her in.

"Alright, my turn." Eddie quickly hopped in, turning around to help Nancy in. "Wheeler." The girl thanked him as she stepped in, Dustin trying to get it next.

    "Woah, woah, woah."

"Hey, you trying to sink us? This thing holds three people tops, okay?" The Henderson boy looked at the people in the boat, seeing that there were already four people in there.

    "But there's four of you?"

"Wheeler and Robin are a package deal. Don't question the way our brains work, alright?" The curly haired boy looked like he was about to say something again, but Nancy spoke up, trying to get their point across.

"It's better this way, okay? You guys stay here with Max. Keep an eye out for trouble." Mickey looked over at her younger sister, giving her a soft grin and nod, silently letting her younger sister know that it was going to be okay.

"You keep an eye out! It's my goddamn theory." Robin rolled her eyes, telling the young boy to listen to the Wheeler girl. "Who put her in charge?"

"I did." Dustin looked over at the red head who sat beside Robin, but as soon as he did, she raised her hands up in surrender.

"Don't look at me, shit stain. I'm just here." Nancy took a step toward the Henderson boy, asking for the compass. The curly haired boy sighed, digging through his pockets before pulling out the compass, placing it in Nancy's hand.

"Hey, there you go." Steve chucked the backpack at Dustin before he began to push the boat farther into the water, stepping into the boat before it got too far.

"You said three! Why are there five people?"

"Stop questioning us, Henderson! Stay safe! I love you all!" Robin chuckled as they were rowed deeper into Lovers Lake.

"Bedtime at nine, kiddos! Miss you already!"

"I don't! But don't do anything stupid! Dustin, I'm talking to you!"
