I groan in frustration and take in some water. This was the third meeting I have dismissed today.

Why? Well, I couldn't concentrate. Last night's been bugging me. I feel like I've sinned so much and the worst part is, I don't know if I should tell Ashley about it or not.

I mean, if I do, she's gonna be so disappointed for not taking her advice. But, if I don't, the guilt's going to eat me up because she's my bestie and we promised not to keep anything from each other.

"Ma'am, here's the tea you asked for," Amerie said as she put the cup carefully on my table.

"Thanks, Amerie," I sigh and begin to sip the tea.

"Is there anything you'd need again, ma'am?" She asks, her innocent voice calming my nerves.

"I'm going to head out though I don't think I'll come back to the office. All the meetings I have today, I want you to attend them, but as me," I say and stand up with my bag in my hand.

"What? Ma'am, I can't--"

"You can," I argue, "You've been my PA for five years now and I know I'm very difficult, but you still perform your work well," I put my hand on her shoulder and smile, "I trust you, Amerie. You've got this"

My words seemed to loose her tensed body up a bit and she smiles back, meaning she was gonna be alright.

"Alright, ma'am," She says in a more relaxed tone.

"Sophia," I say and her eyes widen with amusement. She was probably the same age as I am or even older and I believe we've grown closer so there's nothing wrong with being informal towards each other.

"Right, Sophia," she says deeply and I know the company is in good hands now.

"Good, see you later," I waved at her and closed the door behind me. I had to meet Ash and talk to her. Maybe, I did need more advice from her.

I texted her and we agreed to meet at the boutique we always go to. I wouldn't mind going shopping today.

My car is brought to me and the valet hands over my car keys, "Thank you," I say and tip him. He smiles at my gesture, I don't see why I even tipped him. I fucking pay him every month.

I enter my car and drive off to where Ash and I planned to meet. It was probably an hour's drive or so. I'd reach there in time if there's no jam on the road.

I noticed a black car on my tail. I mean, yeah, I'm behind a car and a car is behind me, but this time, it was different. Every curve I made, It also followed. Maybe it was just a coincidence and I was exaggerating a bit, but I felt uneasy. Was I being stalked? I quickly brushed that feeling off.

I have bigger fish to fry.

Ps: I hate fish
