I walk away feeling odd about the brunette girl , she left a nasty taste in my mouth. I went to work not able get my mind focus on my work. That girl was just stuck in my head like a freaking bad song. Something told me that girl had some bad intentions. "Madison?" My secretary said as she knock on the door of my office. "Yes!" I replied. "Their waiting for you in the conference room for the presentation." She answered. "Damn it!" I shouted as I look at my watch & grabbing the folders off my desk rushing over to the conference room. As I enter all eyes were immediately on me. "Sorry I'm late." I said as I set up the presentation. I went on talking about how we could possibly land on of the biggest authors this company has ever had but honestly I didn't even convince myself , so I know I didn't convince the rest of the partners. This day couldn't get any worse & it all started with that damn brunette! She made this day all soggy. I place my head in my hands as I ran them through out my hair. I really screw up that presentation. I decided to take the rest of the day off & hang out with Michelle. *** "So what happen?" She ask sipping her tea. "Remember that girl that Lexington slept with when he came back from Hawaii?" I ask. "Yeah...I think you use to call her brunette barbie." She answered. "That's her." I responded. "So...what about her." She question. "She came up to me at Starbucks with a baby asking if I was marrying Lexington. I don't know she just gave me a bad vibe. I just didn't feel right all day after that strange encounter." I replied. "Your just being paranoid. It probably was harmless , Maddie. Not everything is that serious." She gave me a reassuring smile. Maybe she was right. I guess it was just paranoia & maybe it was not that deep. I was just probably thinking more into it than what it was. Lexington ask me to marry him , there is nothing to worry about.
