[Madison's P.O.V]

I went shopping around finishing up minor details for the wedding. Honestly I wish I could speed up time , so I could finally say I do. I just wanted to be his wife. I walk down the street going in and out of stores , getting things I thought I needed or just wanted. When I bump into him! Who is him? The guy that almost made me lose the love of my life. The guy that if it wasn't for him , brunette barbie would have never came around. "Well look who we have here , Madison Ryan!" Alec smirked. "Alec." I mumbled about to walk away from him but he grab my arm. "Wow , where are you jetting off too? Don't you want to catch up with me." He ask. "None of your business & hell no." I answered. "Wow since when have you became so feisty. I like this part of you." He responded. "Since I became engaged." I showed him the ring on my finger. Alec's mouth literally drop to the floor in shock. "Yeah that's what I thought." I walk away from him. I felt confident , Alec has hurt me so much in the past & finally having the nerve to prove to him that I have moved on felt good. For a long time I hadn't , that is until Lexington came around and show me how it felt to love again. Thanks to Lexington I was a whole new girl , who wasn't afraid to love & wasn't career obsessed. All things that Alec made me. So I happy that I was able to show him I'm over him & I'm happy again. I finish my shopping and went to see my mom at her house. "Maddie , I'm happy to see you with a real smile on your face. Lexington has brought out the best in you." She smiled placing her hand on my cheek. "He has. I love him , momma." I answered. "I just wish I wasn't so insecure about little things." I sip my tea. "You were hurt by someone you truly cared about , your heart is still wounded. It will take time for it to heal." She chop the tomatoes for her food she was cooking. "Its been a long time." I complained. "Things like a a wounded heart takes time to heal. Don't rush it. You will get over it." My mom gave me a kiss on the cheek. She was right. Alec hurt me the worse out of anyone , he destroyed me. I will eventually fully heal from the broken heart but I know that Lexington will never hurt me. So my heart will heal again.
