João <3

João: Where are you ?
I miss you ☹️

Me: Sorry, baby
Nessa and I got room service
I'll see you later ?

João: Boooo ☹️

Me: I'll see you later pouty
I love you 😚

João: I love you more 😚
Do we have any plans before the game ?

Me: You can come over after breakfast and we can hang out in the room
Or we can make group plans ?
Your call, check in with the boys

João: They want to hang out in a group 😣
I want you all to myself ☹️

Me: You're so cute
I'm all yours tonight :)
Miss having you in my bed :(

João: We can sleep on the floor for all I care, I just want you in my arms again, stinky

Me: I'm not stinky ☹️

João: Just sometimes 🫶🏼

Me: Blocking your number

João: I know where you're staying at

I laugh at the text and decide that's enough of that. I eat my breakfast with Nessa and after we get dressed for the day.

"What are we doing today ?" Nessa asks.

"I don't know, but the boys decided some group plans would be nice," I say.

I take my phone out and quickly create a group chat including Nessa, João, Hugo, Cris, Cooper and myself. I text them letting them know we'll wait for them at the lobby.

Sofia's fan club 🤍

Me: We're on our way to the lobby, see you all there 😚

Cooper: What the fuck is this gc name ?

Hugo: Language, there are children present

Cris: 🙄

Cris changed the group chat name to Jofia's fan club 🤍

Cris: Better gc name :)

Me: So cute ☺️

João's POV

(A N || It's been a while)

The boys and I made it down to the lobby and as we arrive I hear someone call my name.

"Jão, Jão," she mispronounces it, but I know she's calling me.

I go over to her as to be polite, she's a journalist, and we've made light conversation before, after she's interviewed me.

"Hi," I say, wanting to be polite, "it's João actually, there's an o between the J and the ã," I correct her.

"Oh my god, how embarrassing," she giggled placing a hand on my shoulder, "have I been pronouncing your name wrong this whole time ? Why haven't you corrected me before ?"

"It's never been an issue to me, they really only pronounce my name right in Portugal and I've gotten used to the mispronunciation," I shrug glancing over at her hand placement. "I've started correcting people recently after my girlfriend told me it's a pet peeve of hers," I chuckle.
