Author's Note: Before you read this, here is a warning that this may be a little bit of a sensitive topic for some. This chapter involves controlling behavior and hurtful comments from Chaeyoung. Just overall her being a bad girlfriend.

However, please keep in mind that this does not depict Chaeyoung's real-life personality.

I believe Chaeyoung is truly loving and caring and I don't ever see her treating her partner this way.

I truly think she'd be a wonderful and loving partner and whoever she ends up with will be very lucky.

Also, remember that if you're ever in a relationship like this, you deserve so much better and you should talk to your loved ones about it. You're beautiful and you deserve to be who you want to be. Don't ever let anyone tell you differently.

Okay, I hope you all enjoy it!

"I'm ready, Chaeyoung!" You happily spoke as you walked downstairs.

Chaeyoung was in the kitchen already, waiting for you.

You have plans to go out tonight and you feel like dressing up a little.

You did your makeup and put on a beautiful blank dress.

You thought Chaeyoung would love it.

But the look on her face was more of displeasure than happiness and awe.

"What is it?" You asked as you saw her face.

"I don't like that dress."

"You don't?" You asked in disappointment. "I do and I hoped you would too."

"Do you know how many people would be eyeing you tonight? If you went out in that skimpy dress. You're my girlfriend. You shouldn't embarrass me that way."

Your heart dropped over her comments.

You know people will stare.

People stare at her too when she's dressed nicely.

Why is it okay for her to be stared at and still dress up but not you?

You didn't dare ask her that though in fear of making things worse.

"But... I like it, Chae," You said.

"If you don't want to cooperate, we can just stay home." She said as she put her things down. "No need for a nice romantic meal if you won't listen and respect me."

"No, I'm sorry. I'll change, I will!" You said quickly.

You've been looking forward to this night.

You weren't going to let it be ruined, even over something that shouldn't be this big of a deal.

"That's my girl." She smiled as she kissed your forehead. "Go change then."

You nodded and made your way upstairs again.

Once in the safety of the bedroom, you let a few tears fall down your cheeks.

You don't know what to do anymore.

You love Chaeyoung, you truly do.

But... you don't feel that love in return.

You feel controlled and unwanted.

You feel as though nothing you say or do is ever right and it's so draining.

You know you deserve better.

You know Chaeyoung is toxic and your relationship with her is unhealthy.

But you love her and you don't know how to leave her when, despite the way she treats you sometimes, you truly care about her.

You change out of your dress and into a pair of jeans and a cozy shirt.

You also took off your makeup and fixed your hair so it looked more acceptable.

It was far from the look you wanted but whatever satisfied Chaeyoung was okay with you, as long as it meant being able to have a good night.

You went downstairs and Chaeyoung smiled brightly.

"That's much better." She said. "Don't you agree?"

"Yeah." You said before she kissed you.

"I love you, baby."

Did she truly?

You had your doubts.

You didn't see the love reflecting in her eyes or feel it radiating from her chest.

She just... said it.

Meanwhile, as you repeated the words back to her, you meant them.

Wholeheartedly.

"I love you too."

She took your hand and walked out of the house with you, only one of you feeling truly happy.
