If you can decipher symbols we call words
You are smart
If you can solve messes of numbers
you are smart
If you can speak in multiple tongues or with twirling words
you are smart
You listen all day
They talk all day
You write all day
Until your ears bleed
Until their voices ache
Until your hand cramps
A+ smartest
A do better, work harder
B+ nothing more than average
B- failure
"You can't follow instructions"
"You don't listen"
"You don't try"
"You don't focus"
Your mind spins
The words you write
dance
across the page
like leaves
in the autumn wind.
Your grades drop
Down
down
down
You
stop
trying
Because why would you?
When no one thinks you care.
