Aishatu~

I stirred in my slumber. I felt a cozy breath fan my face.
Then a wheeze.
I flutter my eyes open and plop them on him.
He is sleeping like a baby.
His patted lip which enables him to snore makes my stomach gurgle.

The thought of last night churned in my head.
I found myself smiling at the thought of me underneath him. How gentle he was before it turned into a fierce one.
Just the thought aroused me.

I bit my lower lip.
I smirk and lean forward to get his patted lips on mine.
I can't get rid of how his tongue synchronized with mine.
His mint breath and the moan.
God. I felt dampness underneath me.

I press my legs.
My husband flutters his eyes open immediately after I devour his lip.
I was appalled with wide-eyed.
I glance at his glittering orifices peering at me.
I jump off from his body.
I'm sorry. I muttered.

My husband whirls me to his body and pin me down.
Qalb, it's late. I will prepare breakfast for Mama. She might be hungry. I muttered.
He smiled.
Qalb, I stop him from going further.
I want that too but. His Mom is still in the psychiatric hospital and we need to check on her.

I have taken care of that. My husband muttered.
I arc a confused brow at him.
Yes, he muttered.
We had an ecstatic morning.

11 am

Aisha, are you ready? My husband asked.
Yes, Qalb. I muttered.
I grab my hijab and put it on then take my purse and my phone.

I followed him out.
We trudge to the porch and stride out of the living room.
Qalb, what did Abbah say about Mama's condition? She isn't getting better. Her condition exacerbates every day. I muttered.

Abbah has communicated with his friend in India.
He has arranged for a Doctor that will treat Mama.
I will also go with them. My husband muttered.
Aisha, do you think what Mama needs is medical attention?
I think I should get a good sheikh that will also pray for her. My husband muttered.

Qalb, You keep coercing Hajiya Khadija.
She might harm you. Qalb, please don't say anything to her pertaining to this again.
I'm scared to lose you. I muttered.
My husband parked his car at the corner and swerved his gaze to me.

Do you have taqwa? He asks me.
Yes, I do. I muttered.
Then you shouldn't be scared of anything. I know human being can harm us because there's an evil eye and it's real but when we have taqwa, we won't be scared.
She can never harm me except if Allah has ordained it to happen to me.

I promise I won't confront her again. And I won't let her know about my plans. I want this should be a secret between us.
I won't tell Abbah too. My husband muttered.
I squint my eyes at him.
How will you do it without Abbah's consent? Abbah is her husband now.
I muttered.

I know how to handle it. Don't worry about it.
My secret is safe with you, right? My husband asked squishing my hand.
Yes, it is. I assured.
He ignited the car engine and started driving.

My husband reached the hospital and drove inside.
He parked his car in the parking lot and we saunter out of the car.
I glimpse three ladies crying and two men.
Qalb, what is wrong with them? I ask him curiously.
Maybe they lost someone. My husband muttered.

We walk to the psychiatric ward.
Mama stood up and walked to the door immediately she saw us.
Qalb, I'm scared. She might harm me. I whisper in his ear.
She won't. My husband muttered.
I nod my head and entwined my hand with his tightly.
