Chapter 34

The moment has arrived. Time to push away all that has happened and face what is to come as I walk into college with Lexi on my side.

When I got back from LA, the chaos surrounding me was hectic. Inside the airport, fans had managed to come up to me asking for autographs and photos. This was new as I wasn't expecting this big of a welcome. Outside the airport was mad, paparazzi were snapping away with flashes blinding me whilst I tried to get into the van awaiting for me.

I was taken to Amelia's home instead of the apartment as we were followed by the press. The drivers were given orders from Amelia to bring me to her place and I didn't ask why. She did this so they won't know where I live and hassle me.

The welcome I received was lovely. Amelia invited Lexi over and they both questioned me about my trip. Talking for hours was tiring but I got over everything in the end. Amelia was pleased that I signed a contract with Gucci and Lexi swooned when I told her about meeting Sean O'Pry.

All in all, being back had changed a lot. I was more recognisable on the streets and did more shoots with Amelia as she had a new clothing line coming out.

Only being back on Friday, the weekend was full of work and interviews from different magazines.

"Everyone and I mean everyone, even people who we don't know came up to me to ask about you." Lexi said as we walked to the front doors. "I felt so cool they came to me. I made me feel a bit like a celebrity." She gushed with a smile.

I chuckled and tapped her arm. "Well you are my best friend, so your status will go up too."

"I'm liking the sound of that!"

Together we walked to our lockers as I needed to collect some folders. On the way students stopped to watch me. It felt weird being watched but Lexi gave me a slight squeeze on the arm with a smile to reassure me all will be fine.

"Ava!" A cheery voice said. "How was LA?" Willow asked buzzing when she reached me.

"Hi Willow." I smiled. "LA was really good. The weather was to die for."

"Wow I wish I was you. I saw your photo in the magazine and loved it! You look gorgeous especially with blonde hair." She complimented.

I smiled feeling more confident. "Thank you, the hair colour was all for the shoot."

"Good thing it was, because you look more sexy with it." Willow beamed.

"Tell me about it, she looks like a new person with new hair colour." Lexi added.

"Okay enough on the hair. We have class to get to." I say.

In tutor I was treated overly nice which was strange. The students took turns asking me questions and complimenting me. Some even asked for an autograph which I happily agreed to.

The bell rang and first lesson was starting. My heart beat faster knowing who I was going to see. Lexi noticed my hesitation and grabbed my arm leading the way. She would never let me back out.

Entering the familiar door to English, I walked in slowly keeping my head down. There were students already here as they settled into their seats. I didn't dare look to the front were I could feel his presence.

When I got to my seat at the back, I fiddled with my thumb on the desk not having the courage to look up.

"He's looking your way." Lexi whispered.

Taking that moment I looked up and met his intense gaze. Those grey eyes looked straight at me piercing my soul. His body build was more toned from under his shirt and tie and his hair was longer and messy.
