CHAPTER 6

Throughout the week, Theo took me to a new place for lunch which was really sweet. He didn't make any comments on what I ordered or the portion size which I was thankful for.

The one thing I couldn't put up an argument with was money - he never let me pay for us! But other than that, lunch break was amazing with Theo.

It was only three days ago that we started to meet up for lunch and already I'm falling harder for him. I tried hard to resist seeking glances at his full luscious lips but my patience was running out. When was he going to make the first move?!

I mean we held hands when we walked together and sometimes he would wrap his hands around my waist bringing me closer to his body. I loved the closeness with him as it made me feel warm and safe.

"So he'll be here at 6 right?" Lexi asked for the hundredth time this morning.

Sighing loudly for her to hear, "Yes Lex, he will be here tonight but if you keep asking then I'll tell him not to turn up." I finished crossing my arms under my breasts.

"Okay, I'll stop. But I can't wait to officially meet him tonight seeing as you like to keep him to yourself missy."

I laughed lightly before saying, "Just go to work. I'll see you in the evening."

And with that she left the apartment. Releasing a relaxing breath I finished my toast and cleaned up a bit. Today is Friday and I don't have work but it doesn't stop Theo from having lunch with me.

I'll be meeting him at work and then popping to see Amelia before I head back home. Thinking back a couple of days ago when I told Theo that Lexi wanted to meet him made me chuckle silently. I didn't tell him why I wanted Lexi to meet him otherwise that would be weird. But the look on his face was hilarious as he felt intimidated just by looking at her.

Sure Lexi looks hard on the outside, but she's a real softy when you get to know her. But tonight I was eagerly waiting for her perspective on how she saw Theo towards me.

"Hey stranger!" Theo smiled crushing me in a tight hug outside HMV. Yeah he calls me stranger as a nickname. Funny right?

"Someone's in a bright mood today, I wonder why?" I questioned teasingly whilst his hands moved up and down my back.

Theo held my gaze and for a brief second his eyes flicked to my lips then back to my eyes. "I missed you stranger." Was all he said making my heart flutter instantly.

"I missed you too."

This time for lunch Theo took me to the outer skirts of town where less people were. The atmosphere felt peaceful in this cosy coffee shop overlooking the sea below.

We were seated in a much secluded area with a loveseat situated against the furthest wall. Opposite stood a full length window looking out the blue sea and clear skies. This sweet setting made me forget time and responsibilities.

Once seated, a tall and slender waiter came to order our lunch. Knowing that I would be visiting Amelia after, I simply ordered a chocolate caramel milkshake. Theo however orders a plain cheese sandwich and a bottle of coke.

This was strange, as he normally orders something much heavier than a plain sandwich. I glanced sideways at him and noticed his fingers drumming his leg.

Sensing my gaze, Theo looked away from the window with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. Something was up from the minute I met him as he didn't say much.

Shifting closer so I was resting my head on his shoulder he immediately wrapped his arms around my shoulder getting comfortable. The silence continued as we watched the world outside quietly apart from the sound of his drumming.
