Aish, why did you say that to him? He's still your boss.
You mentally facepalmed, closing your eyes for a quick second from embarrassment, hoping you could have said something else.
You cupped your hands and rested them on top of your lap, staring at the ground, tapping your right heel.
How am I going to make this work? He doesn't have resources to help me.
You thought as you began planning of other options to make the mission run as smooth as possible.
•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••
You stopped tapping your heel when you noticed
a person standing in front of you; their presence planted only a few inches away from you.
You slowly scanned the person.
You jolted up from your seat and bowed.

"Mr. Hajoon-shi, what are you doing here?" you asked.
"Let me give you a ride home," Hajoon suggested.
"What?" Your eyes widened from his suggestion.
"It's okay! The bus should be here in a few minutes," you told him, as you looked down the road to see if there was any sign of the bus.
Hajoon followed your eyes, and then he looked back at you.
"I don't see the bus."
You looked back at him.
"It's really okay. I can wait," you indirectly declined his offer, adding a slight chuckle at the end.
"Get in the car," Hajoon said, before he walked to his car.
•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••
You stood there, baffled.
What's wrong with him?
You caught on to the people who stared at you, whispering to each other words you couldn't make out.
You gave them an apologetic smile and slight bow in apology for the slight commotion.
Just as you took your first step, an ahjumma stopped you by grabbing your wrist.
You looked down and smiled at her, hiding your confusion.
"I'm sorry about that," you apologized.
"Honey, he's the one if you haven't realized it yet," she smiled.

"W-what?" You stuttered, puzzled from her unpredicted comment.
"He's the one," she repeated, wearing the same smile.
"Oh, no! He's my boss," you laughed it off.
She gave you one of those smiles, signaling to you she knew, you knew what she meant.
"Don't let him go, " she advised.
You were stunned as you couldn't reply back to her.
"You should go before he waits too long," the ahjumma said, before letting your wrist go.

You slowly turned around to look at Hajoon.
He stood outside of his car, waiting for you, arms crossed, leaned against the driver's door.
You turned back and gave the ahjumma a slight bow.
"Thank you," you smiled.
It was the only phrase you could think of that was appropriate.
•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••
The closer you walked to his car; the butterflies began emerging one by one.
Why is this happening?
You whined.
You knew you couldn't get in his car with what you were feeling.
"Mr. Hajoon-shi."
Hajoon turned around to look at you as he stopped from entering his car.
"I'll take the bus. I'd hate to be a bother," you told him. This time the palpitations felt a little abnormal.
"Get in the car. I'll drop you off," he said again.
"I know you're busy, so it's really okay."
Hajoon sighed, as he didn't know you'd be this stubborn.
He was slowly getting to know you.
"You either get in the car peacefully, or did you---"
Before Hajoon could even finish, you interrupted him.

"Wait!" You held your hand up in a stop sign.
Korean dramas.
You thought.
"I will scream if you do anything to me!" You warned him.
Hajoon was startled by your response.
"W-what?" Hajoon asked, furrowing his brows.
"What are you planning to do?" you asked him, taking a few steps back, covering your chest with your bag.
"What are you doing?"
He didn't know how he got himself into this situation.
"No, I should be asking you that question," you replied.
"I was going to say if you don't want to, then feel free to take the bus," Hajoon finished.
You processed what he said, feeling incredibly stupid.
"Huh?" You expressed, raising one brow.
"If you want to take the bus, then go ahead," he repeated.
"You...You weren't going to," you began trailing your words into a whisper," carry me into your car?"
"What did you say?" Hajoon asked as he didn't catch your words.
You looked at him.
"It's nothing!"
Hajoon stood by his car, confused with the whole situation.
"Enjoy the rest of your evening," you bowed before leaving.
•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••
Hajoon watched you walk back, sitting down on the same bench.
Why would Eunwoo be looking into you?
•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••
You looked at Hajoon as he got into his car, driving off.
I'm sorry.
You thought.
"Did you two argue?" the same ahjumma asked.
You looked over to the side to see her looking right at you.
"Ahjumma."
You thought for awhille.
"No," you answered.
"It's okay if you guys did. It's normal for couples to argue," she assured you.
"No, we're not a couple. He's my boss," you told her.
"Follow what your heart wants and not what your mind tells you, "She advised, giving you a smile.
You repeated her words in your head.
I don't know what my heart wants though.
•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••
"Eunwoo!" You waved as you saw him waiting at the stop.
Eunwoo looked up and smiled the moment he saw you.
You ran up to him.
"You're home early."
"What do you mean? It's 7PM/19:00."
"You're not working at the other job?" Eunwoo asked.
"No, they told me to not go in today."
"Good! You've been working too hard," Eunwoo said, patting your head.
Wait, why am I not working tonight? Is there another meeting?
You thought.
Eunwoo observed your expression.
"Is something wrong?" Eunwoo asked.
You looked at him.
"I forgot something back at work," you lied.
"I can come with you."
"It will be quick! I'll be back, Eunwoo!" you told him.
Before Eunwoo could stop you, you had already ran off.
•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••
You hailed a taxi and told the driver where to.
You flipped your phone and searched for Hajoon's number.
You knew you had to inform him of this, just in case anything really did happen.
Aish, I don't have his number.
You frustratedly closed your phone, throwing it back in your bag.
•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••
You paid your fare and quickly ran down the street.
You hid behind one of the black cars parked along the right side of the street, across from the residence,
peeking to get a good view of the entrance. You scanned the outside and counted the cars.
Four.
You thought.
That means all the family members are here.
You scanned the area a little better.
I don't think Hajoon's father is here.
You assumed.
You retreated and bent down, leaning against the black car, and gathering down the information you had.
I need to tell Hajoon about this. I should get pictures too.
You searched for your phone and flipped it open.
You crawled around the back of the car and laid on the ground, snapping pictures of the cars parked outside of the residence.
•• ━━━━━ ••●•• ━━━━━ ••
You crawled back to your hiding spot and looked at the pictures, proud that you were slowly gathering evidence.
Truth was you were excited that you would be seeing him soon.
You threw your phone back in your bag.
Let me wait it out for a while.
You planned.
