- Garam's POV -
I sigh making my way towards the girls' bathroom, Wonyoung following behind me. She was worried, but I didn't know why. I couldn't understand how Eunchae was acting. Everything had gone downhill ever since I woke up, and now, the entire group was falling apart. "Garam, what are you going to do about this? About Eunchae?"
"What can I do? There's nothing I can do-" She grabs my arm, pulling me to a stop, and faces me. "Garam. This is serious. I don't know if we're going to make it out of this alive, without Eunchae. Do you understand that?" She asks, her tone serious and I nod slowly.
"Yeah, I understand.""Then, don't be a coward, and just tell her already. If you two don't make up soon, ME, Hanni, you and Eunchae. We'll all be killed. Do you get that? This isn't a game, and if you two aren't careful, someone's going to end up dead. So, please, just stop being stubborn and make up or make out I don't care, just be cool again alright!?"
"What?! N-No.. I-I can't just tell her how I feel. It's not that simple."
"Ugh, I can't believe this! You've been flirting with her for months, and you still won't make a move?" Wonyoung frowns and crosses her arms. "I can't help it, okay? I'm not good with this stuff, and it's hard for me." I protest, and she shakes her head.
"Yeah, well, we don't have time for this, Garam. It's not going to get any easier, so if you want to do something about your feelings, you should do it before it's too late. Okay?"
"But-" She cuts me off, grabbing my arm tightly, and pulling me along with her, as she heads out of the bathroom, and into the hall. "Where are we going?" I ask, and she ignores me, dragging me along, until we reach the gym. "Here, this is where Eunchae will be, so go inside and talk to her, or fight her, or whatever."
"Huh? No! W-wait!-" She pushes me into the room, shutting the door behind her, leaving me alone. I run a hand through my hair, sighing heavily, and walking over to the bleachers, and taking a seat. I glance over at the basketball court, where Eunchae is, shooting hoops. Why is she..
"What am I supposed to say?" I mutter, resting my elbows on my knees, and putting my head in my hands. What can I possibly tell her that would make things better? I look up at her as she stops playing, and walks over to the bleachers, grabbing a bottle of water, and drinking it.
I watch her as she drinks, noticing the sweat is dripping from her forehead. I bite my lip, feeling my cheeks heat up. Her eyes meet mine, and she quickly looks away, gulping the rest of her water.
"E-Eunchae.." I mumble, and she glances up at me, raising an eyebrow. "Yes?" She asks, wiping the sweat off her face with the towel, and sitting next to me. "Can we talk.. Please?" I ask nervously, and she nods slowly. "Um, okay.."
"So, uh, why were you playing basketball? I mean I've never seen you play before, so it's kinda surprising.."
"Ah, um.. Yeah, I was just messing around.." She replies with a small smile. "Um.. Eunchae.. What exactly do you want to do about.. Our situation?" "Our situation? As in.." She trails off, and I look down at the floor.
"You know.. The fact that you're .. A vampire and.. I'm a human.. I don't think this will work, and I'm worried.. About us." I mumble, feeling my chest tighten. Eunchae slams her hands down on the bench, making me flinch.
"Garam, do you have any idea how much I care about you? You're the only person who actually treats me like a human being. Everyone else treats me like I'm some sort of monster, but not you. You're the only one who understands me, and the only person who cares enough to listen to what I have to say. So, yeah, maybe I have feelings for you. But, if you don't want anything to do with me anymore, then fine. I can deal with that, but just tell me the truth, Garam. Do you like me or not? I won't get mad. Just answer honestly. If not, then we can forget this whole thing and pretend it never happened."
I bite my lip and look away, not knowing what to say. My mind races, and I close my eyes, taking a deep breath. "I do.." I mumble, and she raises an eyebrow, looking at me curiously. "You what?" She asks. "I.. Like you too." I reply, and her face breaks into a smile.
"Really?" She asks excitedly, and I nod shyly. "Mm, yeah." I mumble, and her smile widens.
"Come here." She says softly, and I hesitantly move closer, and she grabs my waist, pulling me onto her lap, her hands resting on my hips. I look down at her, blushing furiously, and she smiles."Garam, I'm sorry."
"Sorry? What are you sorry for?"
"For yelling at you earlier. I didn't mean to make you upset. I was just frustrated and angry, and I wasn't thinking straight." She says softly. I wrap my arms around her neck, hugging her tightly.
"Eunchae.. We have to beat Kazuha and Yeseo.. So, can you promise me that you won't be reckless anymore?"
"Of course, I promise. But, if anything happens, I want you to know that I'll always be here for you. Even if I'm not, or even if I'm gone.." She pauses, and pulls back, looking at me.
"I promise that I'll come back. Okay?""Okay." I sigh , and lean forward, kissing her softly, her lips moving against mine slowly. After a few seconds, she pulls away, smiling, and rests her forehead against mine. "Thank you.." I whisper, and she chuckles. "For what?"
"For everything." I smile, and kiss her again.
"Are you guys done yet? Can we go now? We need to find Yeseo and Kazuha, and fast!" Wonyoung complains, bursting through the door.
"Shut up, Wonyoung! You ruined the moment." Eunchae shouts."You were taking forever, so I came in to check on you two. Anyway, let's go! We don't have time for this, damn it! We have to kill the little brats, or they'll kill us!" She says.
"Fine, fine. Let's go." Eunchae says and stands up, picking me up, and throwing me over her shoulder."Aish! What are you doing, Eunchae?!" I whine, and she chuckles. "We're gonna beat them up, and make them pay."
"I thought we weren't going to be reckless anymore, Eunchae.."
"Ah, it'll be fine. Don't worry."
