Valarie had already given up on love a long time ago, she was convinced she was destined to spend her life alone although she was only fifteen, All of her friends had boyfriends while she didn't, not like she needed one, she just wanted to show them she was pretty enough to get a hot guy , and things haven't been going well for her lately ,a lot of guys had asked her out, but they were either too short, too fat,too skinny or ugly,so Valerie seemed to come to a conclusion that she wasn't meant for love and spent most of her time having fun with her twin sister.

"Wake up! Wake up you idiot, we are gonna be late "Avery said shaking me roughly
I wasn't much of a morning person,I could sleep forever if I was given the opportunity but no I had to get up every day to go to my freaking school except for weekends.
"Let me sleep"I said rubbing my eyes which didn't show any sign of clearing anytime soon
"We are already late, please get up or we are gonna fail our math tests "Avery said still shaking me roughly ,her voice sounded like she wanted to cry
I unwilling got out from bed to see my sister dressed in a skirt above her knees and a long sleeved shirt, with her bag hanging on her right arm. she looked so pretty but I wasn't gonna tell her that , Avery and I are identical twins so we looked alike, we had long brown curly waist length hair and hazel brown eyes,no one could differentiate between us except our parents or close friends Even our close friends sometimes found it hard to differentiate between us.

"Okay just give me ten minutes "i said walking towards the bathroom
"Make it quick, mom is leaving for work soon, and dad's already gone to work"she said making herself comfortable on my bed.we both shared a bedroom but we had different beds, different dresses and different accessories. we made sure our parents didn't get us same things because we would just fight over it. Our parents were well off. we weren't super Rich but we were rich.
"Hey, you know I don't take long to get ready "I said getting out of my PJs, "and don't make yourself too comfortable on my bed or I will ruin yours"
"Yeah whatever now go" Avery said looking at her phone
I immediately showered and got ready, ate breakfast,got my bag and went to school with Avery,we were very late to school so we escaped being punished by an inch , luckily for us there were no teachers in class and we immediately ran to our seats.
"Oh Valerie and avery, you're here,I thought you guys wouldn't come to school today "ivory said with a big smile on her face. ivory was one of my close friends she had mid length blonde hair and blue eyes
"Why?? didn't you want us to come to school"I said teasingly
"No no I was just surprised because you never come late to school" she said looking towards the door and suddenly started blushing
"Hey why are you blushing" I said but she didn't respond still in her trance and then everyone in class just suddenly went quiet even avery turned red ,I stood up to see what everyone was blushing about and saw a god - like creature standing at the door,he was tall, gorgeous and enchanting,I instantly felt a pull towards him,I wondered why??. I swallowed the lump that had formed in my throat and looked away trying to regain my self and appear unfazed.
"Omg Valerie did you see? he's so gorgeous" ivory said tugging at my arm
"Uhm...see what"I said pretending like I didn't see him
"Look over there"ivory pointing at the guy who was now surrounded by girls but was looking at me
I wanted to look away but I didn't want to him to think I was one of those girls who were shy so I just held his gaze and he held his too

"Oh hey I am ruby " a slim brunette said holding her hand out for a shake to the gorgeous guy who just looked at her eying her up
"I am Kristen" the gorgeous guy who's name is Kristen said shaking ruby's hand
"Oh my, ruby is such a flirt she didn't even let him have a seat and she's already sizing him up " ivory said rolling her eyes
"Well good for her"I said not giving a damn while I played with my hair
"Isn't James her boyfriend " ivory said glancing back at Kristen and ruby, ruby was smiling so wildly while Kristen just kept looking at her totally uninterested
She's so fake
"Do I look like I care" I said sounding as cold as possible, I and avery were known as cold and savage but we were just acting that way so no one would mess with us and it always worked
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of bed" a deep masculine voice chuckled beside me, I flinched slightly as his voice sent shivers down my spine, I didn't notice him since I was so engrossed in talking to ivory. ivory was already drooling, I pulled myself together and turned around and glared at him, "who are you ? "What do you want" I said pretending I didn't know his name
"Hey you get up" he said pointing to ivory whose seat was next to mine , ivory just stupidly sat up.
"You dumbo don't do that,he isn't the boss of you"I said scolding ivory"who are you to order her around, she won't get up and there's nothing you're gonna do about it " I said standing up and looking him in the eye
Kristen didn't even say a word,he just went to ivory's seat and practically dragged her away from there
"Stop it" I said grabbing his bicep which was rock solid, gosh I felt so intimidated at that moment but couldn't watch some bully do shit to my friend
He looked down at me and smirked at how I tried to stop him, he just shrugged and let go of ivory
"You did the right thing by letting go of her or I swear I could have slapped you " I said trying to look as intimidating as I could,he leaned in at me and I felt my heart skip, what was freaking wrong with me, but I didn't step back,I stood my ground
"You slap me?, You cant try it" he said folding his arms
"She acts tough, huh? Let's see how she handles this" I looked around to see ruby and her minions snickering and whispering, they weren't the popular girls but they were cheerleaders but I and avery were the popular ones, we didn't even have to try,I guess if you are a twin and your the prettiest girl in school you would be popular but who cares because right now I feel frustrated and mad like where's avery when I need her anytime I get mad she's the only one who could calm me down
Before I knew it my hands were already swinging in the air and immediately met a with rock solid face, everyone gasped and that was when I realized what I had just done,gosh I am dead I just slapped Kristen from the looks of it he's gonna Kill me, his jaw is locked and I swear I saw fire in his eyes.
