Liu Kang had just returned with the warriors he'd chosen for the tournament that being Raiden, Kung Lao, Kenshi and Johnny Cage who was recording everything
" Wow this is pretty neat" Cage said with a nod seemingly impressed with the monestry
Kenshi was still annoyed with Cage they had just come from the actor's mansion after his failed attempt to retrieve Sento and it made his blood boil that Cage was walking around with it
Cage felt his gaze on his back where Sento was strapped he looked over his shoulder at Kenshi and gave him a cocky smirk which just angered him more
Kang Lao and Raiden were taken in the sights themselves as they walked deeper into the monestry
" It's beautiful" Raiden said quietly
" I'm just excited that we'll get the chance to fight the monks, we'll finally be able to hone our skills" Kung Lao said grateful to finally be off the farm and do something he felt was important
Bi-han scoffed at the newcomers behavior himself along with Scorpion and Smoke accompanied Liu Kang in finding the four but that didn't mean he liked them one bit
He felt Scorpion place a hand on his shoulder " Give them a chance before you pass judgement" he advised his brother
This though just made Bi-han furrow his brow in irration " These fools are meant to represent earth realm" he asked knowing the answer but it still angered him
He turned and pulled away from Scorpion who just sighed
Liu Kang let out a worried sigh as they got deeper he'd been dreading this part all night so far and was still yet to ease his nerves
The new warriors looked around noticing that most of the Monks seemed to be avoiding the area they were heading to which they found quite odd but as they got nearer they heard a faint whistling sound
The four looked around for the source of the whistling it was as if every step they took just filled them with more and more worry that was soon turning into dread
They looked to the Lin Kuei members for some kinda answer but saw that even they had gone silent the three knew what the sound was but that still didn't help the feeling of dread even the Grandmaster Bi-han didn't make a comment on it
" Okay if no one's gonna say it I am, what is that" Johnny Cage said barely above a whisper if it had the monks scared and silenced the Lin Kuei he wasn't gonna take a chance
Liu Kang the only one who seemed unaffected by the whistling's effect turned to them with slight concern
" That is the final member of team earth realm he is well... Unique" Liu Kang said
" Unique?" Kenshi asked wanting some kinda answer
The four didn't want to admit it but if the whole monestry was cautious around this fighter was he really safe to be around
" Why is everyone afraid" Raiden asked as the rest looked at Liu Kang
Liu Kang looked at them trying to think of the right wording but decided that there was no point in hiding it
" He gains his power from fear and we'll... He enjoys seeing people afraid aswell" Liu Kang said bluntly
The four looked at each other with worry but Liu Kang wouldn't give them a chance to think as he walked into the room where the sound was originating from
The Lin Kuei were the first to follow the group of fighters looked at one another before trailing after them with some reluctance
The air got heavier with every step they took making it feel as though they couldn't breath
When the group eventually walked in the whistling stopped they finally saw the man in question
He was laying down on a pile of cushions that he seemed to have moved there himself they were unable to see his face due to him wearing a hooded cloak his face was mostly covered but if they looked closely they could see an amsued smirk
" So your finally back" He said to Liu Kang with amusement as he tilted his head in the others direction
The room was silent the air only getting heavier but the silence only made the hooded man smirk even more
A sniffing sound could be heard from him as he looked back up to the moon " I can smell your fear you know" he chuckles
It made the fighters shutter slightly even the Lin Kuei who were familiar with him by now didn't wanna say a word
" I saw to it that your room was organized long ago" Liu Kang said pressing his fingers together as he always seemed to do
" True and I'm thankful but the moon doesn't quite reflect as nicely as it does here" he says but there was something to his tone that the rest slowly recognized as he spoke
" You speak to lord Liu Kang as if your his equal" Kang Lao said slightly annoyed after all Liu Kang was the god of fire and yet this person didn't seem to care
This though only made the hooded man chuckle darkly as he stood up slowly removing his hood from his head
As his hood came down the rest saw his silver hair but that wasn't what caught their attention it was his eyes that did his crimson red eyes
He smirked revealing his sharp teeth to them which made them all take a slight step back
" Your lord Liu Kang might be a god but even he can't escape DEATH" he empthazised the last word
This made them all look at each other questionably
" Death" Johnny cage questioned with a nervous chuckle
Liu Kang looked at the rest " This is Y/N or better known as... DEATH"

So first shot at trying a Mortal kombat fanfiction!
So as you've already probably guessed Y/N is based off of the Wolf from puss in boots the last wish
He has similar abilitys and some unique ones
His personality is mainly inspired by Zack foster and some of his back story is inspired by the book a kiss from Death
