Empress Sindel had walked into the throne room with her two daughters following behind
All talk and noise died down as everyone watched the empress take a seat
" Welcome, members of the royal house" she pauses as she looks towards Liu Kang and his fighters
" Welcome, our esteemed Earthrealm guests" she then turned her attention the entire room again
" We gather once again to honor my late husband's legacy, To continue the tournament that he founded with lord Liu Kang in hopes that it would foster peace among relams" she then took a breath as she composed herself
" May Jarrod's soul watch over us with pride from it's resting place in the living forest" she says solemnly
She takes another breath " Lord Liu Kang" she greets
The fire god takes a step forward his fingers touching as they always seem to do as he greets " Empress Sindel, it pleases me to once again be your guest" he bows
" Here you are always welcome" Sindel says with slightly outstretched arms
She then crosses her leg over her knee as she continues " Let us meet your champion"
" Earthrealm's champion is Raiden, Your majesty" Liu Kang says stepping aside
Raiden looked up at Sindel with some admiration as Liu Kang continued " He has earned his place by embodying the very best qualities of Earthrealm's people"
This earned a chuckle from Johnny as he elbowed Y/N softly " Another reason you didn't get picked"
The immortal rolled his eyes and scoffed " Take your qualities and shove them somewhere else for all I care"
Sindel looked at Raiden and took in his appearance " You seem nervous, young man"
" I'm a stranger in a unfamiliar land, here to compete against it's greatest fighters, Yes I am nervous" Raiden says with a nod
" As you should be" Sindel says making Y/N chuckle as he turns to Cage
" I mean she's got a point some of them are really ugly" he smirks
Cage chuckles under his breath " You got no fear huh" he questions
The immortal shrugs " Meh I fear nothing.... expect for alcohol running out.. And not watching the final season of ( insert show)"
