Chapter 3

The 8th of November.

Culver walked into the living room, where Robin was putting on their jacket.

C- Are you seriously going to walk all the way there and back?
R- Yes, It's good exercise

Culver pulled out his car keys from his pocket.
C- I'm driving. No one drives my baby.
R- Why do you want to drive me to Lunas?
C- I owe you for the money.
R- You really don't have to, but thanks I appreciate it.

At Luna's place.

Robin hesitated to turn the doorknob and Culver noticed.

C- Do you want me to come with you?
R- No, no.. I'll be fine.

Robin manages to open the door and they look around.

It looked pretty normal for the most part, which surprised Robin because the house was a mess when he left.

They decided to look into Luna's room and it was completely bare.
It was odd, but the concerning part was that the lock on the window has been broken.
And it was just open.

This made Robin incredibly suspicious, so they called out to Culver from the window.
R- Hey Culver! Can you come and check this out?

C- What's up?
Culver walks over.

R- There's something wrong.
Come check this out.

C- Kay, I guess?
Culver climbs through the window.

R- Do you notice anything weird about this room?
C- I guess it being bare is weird?
R- Yes, now also add the fact that the window lock was broken.
C- But that doesn't make sense? There's no evidence of anyone breaking in, nor either evidence of there being a squatter. Unless of course the rest of the house is trashed.
R- That's the thing, It's weirdly clean besides all the surface areas having a coat of dust on them.
C- What do you mean?
R- As in there's no dishes in the sink, the couch pillows are in their place, everything is weirdly perfect.
C- Well maybe she moved out? Without telling you?
R- Or something bad happened to her and this is just a cover up?
C- Maybe unless there's a note then that might be a possibility.
Did you get any texts from her recently?
R- Yes, she was trying to contact me to talk. But I haven't checked them in a while.
C- So what are you waiting for?

Robin stared at Culver.
R- You stole and sold my phone yesterday. How did you already forget about that?
C- My bad, well you know her phone number right? Just call her.

Robin looked embarrassed.
C- Do you not know her- Okay listen. I'm going back to the car to see if I can find her social media. You go pack, got it?
R- Right, I completely forgot. Thanks Culver.

Culver went to the car as Robin packed up their stuff.

After a bit, Robin put the one box of stuff they had in the trunk and sat down next to Culver.

R- Hey Culver I just remembered something.
C- That being?
R- Luna was trying to find a serial killer, what if the killer found her.
C- Well that's concerning. Um, how about we drive home and tell dad to search for her? We can look for her through social media as he does so.
R- Good idea but shouldn't we tell the police?
C- Robin trust me on this. It's just a waste of time, I'd be much faster if we just handled it.
R- Well alright, are you sure though? It might take some time.
C- Oh please, my gang has eyes everywhere. Even if dad fails, my gang will be able to track her down.
R- Okay then, thanks.

Back home.

C- Robin go unpack, I'll go ask dad if he can help out.
Robin did as he was told and Culver walked to the kitchen.

Where Krow was and it overheard Culver.
K- Since when do you call Charles dad?

This made Culver blush a bit.
C- Listen we're not gonna talk about that right now. Robins cousin disappeared and Robin suspects a serial killer got to her.
K- What.
C- Yeah. I know. So can you tell me where Charles is? Since he's an um "private detective" then he can help us out.
K- I'm pretty sure he's in his workroom. But are you sure about helping Robin? They might suspect us of being involved with it, since y'know.
C- Currently we're just some small time criminals. We couldn't be involved even if we tried.
K- It's still not the best look.
C- Yeah but we're nothing special when it comes to the rest of Noir.
I haven't seen the big boss ever since he moved me into this place.
K- You think Robin will believe it?
C- They don't have anyone else.
