        Zenitsu's POV

It was daybreak, the sun was doing its worst, blinding my eyes to tempt my wake. Must've done quite the job, since now I'm up and ready. I sit up and gaze over at Tanjiro and Nezuko, curled up together against a fallen log. The fire had burnt out a while ago, leaving behind the smokey residue. My eyes wandered off to a nearby stream, unsanitary, but I needed a natural wake up call. With that in mind, I got to my feet and began walking towards the narrow body of water. It was rather pretty, how it glistened in the sun's visible light. The various colorful stones that poked upright, causing the water to flurry away and around. It was fascinating now that I get a good look at it.

I knelt down and cupped the water in my hands, splashing my face. So cold. It was when I heard a soft clink from afar that I hurried to wipe off my eyes to stare in the direction of the sudden sound. My vision was slightly blurred, though I made out a figure. They looked similar to that of a wisteria tree. The kimono was long, letting the water move it around, guiding the dance.  It was a woman with silky black hair, down to her knee at least. She seemed to be just enjoying the cool water, at least until she noticed me. When she first got a good look at me, her eyes widened. I straightened up, returning the shocked look.

There we stood, just looking at each other. Both fascinated with the appearance of the other. Her eyes twinkled with their bright, almost emerald color. Her fair skin, reminded me of someone; who I wish I could forget. Oh what a wish that is.

" Zenitsu," said the woman, her voice angelic, simply flowing in the wind, " He's close, can't you feel him?" she asked, raising her hand up to the sky. As if in a blink of an eye, she appeared in front of me, holding my face in her warm hands. So familiar.

" Zenitsu? Zenitsu are you awake?" she continued to question, her voice slowly shifting to a firmer tone, though still so gentle. As my vision began to fade again, her face changed... Is that Tanjiro? Eventually it was clear that I had been dreaming, for far too long as well. I groaned, frustrated,

" Tanjiro, why'd you have to wake me up?" I asked, shifting my head in his hands, " What's going on?" I set my tone clear that I was angered. Though it didn't seem to phase the man. His eyes were watered, and pooled with sorrow. Which was confusing to me, he usually doesn't make that face unless someone else is crying.

He wiped my eyes, from there I realized that I was the one who was crying, in my sleep I suppose. Nezuko was leaned beside Tanjiro, she looked just as sorrowful as Tanjiro. These two are such tear jerkers... She turned away to go inside her box as the sun finally shone over the situation, " Zenitsu, you were crying in your sleep again... Is everything okay?" the red-head asked. I pulled my face away, holding my face with one hand, " Explains why my face felt wet... Nothing, just memories. Lets get going then." I tried my best to avoid his questions, physically and emotionally. I got up and adjusted my sword, beginning the walk again.

They can't know I still love him...
