Tears in the Rain

In the stillness of the night, I lay in bed,
Thoughts of you whirl in my weary head.
Regret, a shadow that haunts my soul,
For I let you go, and now I pay the toll.

Your laughter, your smile, a distant dream,
In the moon's soft glow, it all may seem.
I see your face in the stars above,
And I'm drowning in a sea of lost love.

I wish I could turn back time's cruel hand,
Hold you close, make you understand.
But now you're gone, and I'm left alone,
In this empty space that used to be our home.

Regret is a weight that I cannot bear,
I long for the moments we used to share.
I let you slip away, and now I see,
You were the missing part of me.

I pray for a chance to make amends,
To heal the rift, to find my friends.
For in your absence, I clearly see,
The love I let go was meant to be.
