"I walked the streets all day, running with the thieves, 'cause you left me in the hallway."

I just exited my social science class and walked back to my dorm. I was waiting for Joe to tell him the news. A week ago, I got a movie offer and then another movie offer that was going to be filmed next year. It would be filmed in Palm Springs, which required me to move to USC in LA. I have excellent grades for it. It's already going to happen.

my heart was racing. I was nervous and happy to tell Joe, but I didn't know how he would react. After all these years of just being "friends," we finally told each other we had feelings for each other yesterday

"hey baby, good morning. I brought you breakfast and your favorite, an iced chai with three pumps of brown sugar." Joe walks in and kisses my cheek

He puts the food on my desk and notices how quiet I am. he walks over to me and faces me, "what's wrong? Is everything okay?" he asks me worriedly

"I got a movie offer., I'm going back to LA. I'll be continuing my studies at USC. I'm so sorry, Joe. I-" I say as he just walks out, leaving me there dumbfounded.
