silence. there is eerie silence in the room. Jungkook, you and Hoseok switching glances between you three, leaving the fourth one confused.
" Is anyone gonna speak something or y'all just gonna look at each other's faces? " Eun woo breaks the silence, irritated with his unanswered questions.
You gulp, knowing sooner or later your brother is ought to find out the truth. You cannot keep things from him for long, he somehow always figures it out.
" I– err." You are cut off as Jungkook plunges in the conversation.
" we were talking about— Hoseok hyung, he's soon gonna move back—" Jungkook is interrupted.
" YN, I'm asking you. Tell me." Eun woo says sternly, forcing Jungkook to shut his mouth.
You look at Jungkook, " that's what we were talking about, Hoseok oppa—"
One glare from the elder and you know, you cannot fool him. He has figured out that something is cooking, you cannot lie.
" Oppa.." you trail off, looking at your brother as you approach him, sitting beside him.
" only if you don't burst out, I'll tell you. Promise me." You forward your pinky, looking at him with puppy eyes.
Certainly Eun woo would be a man of strong will and morals, but your puppy eyes are water on sand, it always slides through his rules.
He interlocks his pinky with yours, nodding and motioning you to speak.
" Jungkook and I, we're dating." You say, squeezing your eyes close, ready for an outburst.
nothing.
There is nothing you hear, just silence.
Slowly, you open your eyes and look at your elder who was grinning like an idiot.
" I knew it!" He jumps, clapping like a child which ofcourse confuses you.
" hyung, you're not mad?" Jungkook asks, his voice as tiny as an insect.
" Hoseok! I bet, i told you already that they are dating! You cannot hide things from me!" Eun woo slaps the other elder's shoulder with a smug grin.
You just exchange glances with jungkook, observing the scene unfold in front of you.
" okay okay, you win cha. I'll transfer you the promised amount." Hoseok groans, fishing out phone from his pocket.
" for god's sake, stop scaring the kids now." Hoseok groans while his eyes focused on the screen.
Eun woo chuckles, ruffling your and Jungkook's hair before he spills the truth.
" Before I came here, I had talked to Hoseok about you " he points at Jungkook.
" he kept saying that you are just her roommate which I refused to believe. And here I am, i successfully found out the truth." Eun woo grins.
" but how do you know Hoseok oppa?" You ask, confused.
" this pabo was my senior two years back, we've been friends since then. As you know, he's majored in music and I am majoring in dance, we fell under same category for events conducted via social dramatic union of our college. I just figured it out too late that you are his sister." Hoseok confesses after pushing back his phone in his pocket with a smile.
Your mouth is hung open just as Jungkook's as you both take a while to comprehend the situation.
" YOU SCARED ME EUN WOO! " you shout, landing on him with tonnes of slaps and punches as Eun woo squeals, running for his while you chase him around the whole house.
Laughter erupts in the atmosphere, eradicating every hint of tension present in the air. Jungkook and Hoseok roll on the couch of the laughter, breathless yet laughing insanely.
You continue to chase the elder until you both are out of breathe, slumped on some wall in the living room.
" Bet, you try me again and I'll chop off your bones and feed them to dogs!" You growl under your heavy breathe, glaring still.
" yeah yeah, you should've considered me telling about your relationship too, i wouldn't have gobbled him up!" Eun woo replies back with same tone, rolling his eyes in addition.
" whatever." You groan before getting up.
Time flies past so soon, it was already an year of being in love, with the man of your dreams, Jeon Jungkook.
Tomorrow it was your birthday, the day that would change not one but two lives.
Apparently tomorrow, it was your day.
It was your day, to be the woman of his dreams.
Be his Nari. Jeong Nari.
