XO, Kitty (Season 3) [Complete]

Episode 2: House Shopping

"Let's go Minho!" Kitty looked to Peter and Lara Jean who were patiently waiting downstairs, "I'm sorry, Minho usually is punctual but I guess he woke up late."

"I'm just putting on my facial cream then I'm coming down!"

"Facial cream?" Peter looked to the sisters expecting an answer, Kitty closed her eyes, shaking her head. Minho came down the next second, rushing feeling guilty for keeping everyone waiting.

"Alright let's go house shopping!"

"This is the living room, as you can see it's very spacious allowing you to host your own gatherings."

Kitty and Minho silently followed Lara Jean and Peter as they looked around the house. It was a two story with four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, with a huge living room that connects to the kitchen and dining area. Then there is a huge backyard where Kitty already imagined a family gathering full of family, friends and a lot of dancing.

"I still can't believe that your sister is engaged. How did it happen again?" Minho asked as he and Kitty were overlooking the backyard while Lara Jean and Peter went upstairs to look some more.

"So it went like this..."

Lara Jean, Margot, and I were spending some sister-quality time when Peter called. Of course Margot and I were in on it but we had to play dumb. Anyways, while they were on the phone, Margot and I left to appear as being polite. But really we were going upstairs to wait it out because Peter was asking Lara Jean out on a date; part of the plan.

So of course, when Lara Jean asked us if she could go, we said of course and to tell us what happens. Once we knew she was out the door, that's when the whole plan was kicked into action. Dad and Trina were in on it as well along with Lara Jean's best friend, Christine and her cousin Gen, along with Trevor and Lucas. 

All of us drove out to this spot that Peter personally picked out; the lacrosse field. Yes, it might seem random but that is where they became a couple after Lara Jean had a whole thing with her thoughts. I won't get into that. So we began to set up the field with flowers, a huge lit up sign that spelled out 'Marry Me' along with a painted banner, by Peter, that said "Are you gonna break my heart, Covey?" which according to Peter, is what he asked her before they shared a kiss.

So on the field it was our family and very close friends of Lara Jean and Peter. I didn't know everyone there but I knew who I needed to know. It was getting dark around 8 in the evening, that was when Peter pulled up. Of course Lara Jean doesn't know what's going on especially since he blindfolded her.

We were all silently waiting on the field, as we watched Peter slowly guide her to the sign. But then Peter told us that he was too excited so he scooped her bridal-style and ran to it. I fought the urge to scream and yell but I held it in. Once he got on the spot, blindfold off we began to play 'Love Story' by Taylor Swift and then Peter popped the question...

"...it was all so romantic. I knew Lara Jean loved it because she's just a romantic person. She always read romance books during high school and lived them in her mind. Plus she said it herself."

"That does sound romantic," Minho looked to her as he asked the next question, "would you like a romantic gesture like that when I propose to you?"

The car ride back home was silent, an awkward tension was in the air but it was bearable. After Minho asked the question, he assumed Kitty felt a little shy to respond -- at least that was what he told himself. Kitty on the other hand, had a mental breakdown. Her thoughts ran wild, not believing that Minho thought that far ahead.

Of course I can see him in my future. For sure. But it's the fact that he does too? Like I don't know...I guess I thought maybe we wouldn't last that long. I don't think because we fell out of love but more like we found other interests. I don't know...or maybe I'm just doubting myself. Oh but I can't. I mean if he really asked me that, then that means he's serious about. I should be serious too. Oh who am I kidding. I don't even know what I want to do tomorrow!! Or even dinner for that matter. Gosh, to think about our future already? Okay calm down Kitty...it was just a question. I could've answered him instead of leaving it unanswered. Now he's going to think I don't love him enough. Do I? NO I do!! 

"Hey Kitty, are you okay?" Minho gently placed his hand on her shoulder, she looked around to see they were back at home.

"I'm alright."

"Okay...look before we go inside, I wanted to apologize. I didn't mean to freak you out or scare you. I was just -"

"- don't worry about it Minho. I know it was just a question and you were just curious. Plus -"

"Hey," he placed his hands on hers, "I wasn't expecting an immediate answer. Of course our time will come. But because I did ask that question, it means I do see you in my future and that -- I would love to have a future with you."

The way he's looking at me...I can just tell he means it. I can see the love in his eyes. I really have nothing to worry about.

"I love you."

"I love you too Kitty." He kissed her cheek and the pair got out of the car.

After a few more minutes of silence, "Do you think they knew were still in the car?"

"No, although I don't know what happened between them, I'm glad they talked about it."

"Same, Minho seems to be a good guy for her."

"Yeah I'm glad they met each other." Lara Jean watched her sister go hand-in-hand with Minho into the house.

"Now," Peter placed his hand on Lara Jean's leg, "are you ready to go in?"

Ep 2 is doneee~ I hope I did justice for Peter's proposal 🥺 I felt that it was cute and romantic enough for Lara Jean's expectation 🤭 I hope you all enjoyed it!! And of course there will be a wedding soon for them so stay tuned for that later on 🤗 

What did you guys think of the house I found? I think Peter and Lara Jean would like it hehe, looks cute and simple. Plus whoever designed it, it looks a little like a fairytale house.🤭
