xxxvii. winter will pass by

27 12 8

hearing raindrops falling on our roof
and i'm watching the time pass by
it's crazy how fast it flies
because i know too well
rain will turn into snowflakes soon

i can already smell the winter
approaching in that autumn kissed air
can almost feel it's wind
but i know it's not long left
until the daylight's hardly seen
overweight by the darkness we all feel
but i know winter will pass by
i have to promise myself that it will.

it's almost funny how still
our time sometimes stands
but you also know that's it's running,
trying to find a safe place-
it's just like us all
just a different kind of way
but also just as feeling cold
try find something feeling like home
until next year, where the feeling returns
with the leaves that will fall
along with the feelings
we once tried to keep
between those dark grey walls -
relieved when they'll break free.
