emmys pov
we all woke up and rick, daryl, brenda, glenn, t-dog and maggie we all going to clear out the walker behind the fence
rick opens the gate that leads to the courtyard they all enter and start stabbing the walkers in the head.
the rest of us are all banging on the gate to try and distract the walkers from them and stab them through the fence.
"I can't see them" lori says to carol " can you see them?"
"back there" carol points to the back of the courtyard they are killing walkers with helmets on . they are straggling.
they all come back and tells us that they have cleared out a cell block. brenda puts her hand on my shoulder and leads us towards it.
daryl looks at brenda bonding with the girl. he smiles as he know that emmy has brought her smile back.
we walk in and see t-dog getting rid of all the rotting bodies from the cells .
"what do you think?" rick asks everyone
"home sweet home home" glenn says from behind us
"for the time being"
"it's secure?" lori asks
"this cell block is" rick answers with a smile on his face
"what about the rest of the prison?" hershal asks
" in the morning, we'll find the cafeteria, and the infirmary." rick asks
"we'll sleep in cells" i ask rick
he looked at me and nodded
"i found the keys on some guards, daryl has a set too." he while smiling at me
" i ain't sleepin in no cage. i'll take the perch" daryl says.
brenda went over to talk to him as i wak arounf trying to find a good cell
"pretty gross" i say to myself as carl walks in
"yeah, remember the storage untis?"
i put my bag down and lay down on the bottom bed
"it's actually comfortable, check it out"
brenda walks in and looks at me then carl
" you found your cell yet?" she ask the boy with a grin on her face
"uh, yeah, i was just makin' sure emmy was safe. see you tomorrow" he says whilst his cheeks go red
"bye bye carl" she said to him
"see ya" i told him
brenda sits down next to me with a massive smile on her face
" what?" i question her
" you know he has a massive crush on you right" she tells me
" how can you tell?" i ask her
" oh you know the way he always offeres you his food, the way he stares at you went you are on watch"she said while still smirking at me
"ewww no way hes like 2 years younger than me" i say to her while laughing
"yeah he might be a little bit to young for you bug" she says while nudging my shoulder
"bug?" i question her
"yeah your my little bug." she paused
" you mind if i bunk up with you?"
" sure only if i can have the top bunk" i told her
"definatly i will do my back out having to climb up there every day" she says with a chuckle
" your not even that old, what like 24" i said
"no bug i'm 27 but i will take that as a compliment"
"no way your nearly thirty. your so old" a smirk starts to form on my face a i say it.
"i still could take you in a fight" she says standing up with her arm up pretending to fight me
"nah i will knock you on your feet" i say as i get up and tackle her
daryls pov
i was walking towards emmys cell holding one of her bags that she had forgotten to pick up. once i get to the cell i see emmy and brenda play fighting
he lets out a low chuckle looking at his sister getting on with someone so quickly. normally it takes her a while to warm up to someone like that but with emmy it tool her a matter of hours to get on well with her
my worries about brenda slowly left me. i looked at emmy greatful that we found her because i don't know what i would have done without her.
" what are you two doin'" i ask them both
once they hear my voice they stop fighting instantly then loom at me acting like they wern't doing anything
"she started it " emmy points at brenda while still looking at me
"i did not you tackled me first" she says to emmy
"you know what i don't care here you left that outside " i say to emmy handing over her other bag
" thank you daryl " she tells me
i give her a small nod and walk out but she runs out of the cell towards me
" what you said yesterday about my uncle about how when we are settled that we would go look for him i just wanted to say thank you" she told me
"yah course i know what it's like so-" before i could finish she ran up to me and hugged me and started to cry. i awkwardly hugged back not really knowing what to do.
she pulled away "sorry i just miss him alot and ive been looking for him for awhile and me being here with you guys made me feel bad because ive stopped looking for him" she stopped to wipe her nose " i just wanna find him" she told me
" listen to me? "
she nodded
"even if we don't find him i will, me and brenda will always look after you. I promise after we get settled me and you we'll go out a few times and look for him. i give you my word you understand?" i told her
" yeah i understand"she said
"okay go get some sleep okay?"
she nodded whilst wiping her eye and jogged of back to her cell.
