I head to the kitchen before I steal Sam's hash brown, "Hey" He says

Sam puts his headphones on, "I just came to see everyone off on their big first day back, after the break. Also, I left a couple things. Like, I didn't pack any good socks" She says

"Fridge is pretty empty. Maybe I should go by the store and pick up some supplies. I could make dinner" She says
"We got it" He says
"What about something else that I could do, dishes or beds" She says

I'm walking towards the building when someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn around to see a girl, a very beautiful girl in fact but that's not the point, "Hey" She says
"Hi, you're Izzie, right? I'm Cameron, Cam. I'm the...Sorry, you know that. I'm, like, super nervous. Oh, I'm the new kid from Newton" I ramble
"Look, new kid from Newton" She says
"Cam is my name, actually" I say
"I'm sure you were hot shit at your last crappy school, but—" I cut her off, "Wow, warm welcome. They should put you in the orientation video" I say

"You punched a girl in the face and got suspended, so, no. I've worked my ass off to build this and we don't need any drama" She says

She looks at me and points to the building, "Classes are in there. Good luck" She says and walks away

I'm in the hallway, with my schedule, trying to find my class. A girl walks by, "Excuse me, do you know where CL172 is?" She ignores me, "Awesome. Thank you so much" The bell jingles, "Really? That's your bell? I mean..." I say giving up

Everyone raises their hands, "Power to reaction?" A girl answers

"Right. Now, with step six, the carbons are finally removed" He says
I turn around to the girl behind me, "Is this AP? Cause I'm supposed to be in regular Bio" I whisper

I walk down the steps to where the rest of the girls are stretching, "Hi" I say
"You look tired, Newton. Tough day?" Izzie asks
I start to stretch, "No, it's been great" I say
"Find your way around alright?" She asks
"Yeah. Actually, this super helpful girl showed me around, so..." I say
"Isn't this place great? You're gonna love it. Are you bulimic?" Quinn asks
"No" I say
"Oh, god. I don't need those kind of influences in my life" Quinn says
Cool shoes. My mom made me get new ones for Christmas, which is dumb cause we were in Paris and he Euro conversion is ridiculous. Plus I like when they're all old and worn like yours" Penelope says
"Thanks" I say trying not to sound offended
"We were in Aspen again. So boring" Quinn says
"My parents are on this kick, they take us to a European city each yeah. Exhausting" Penelope says
"What'd you do for break?" Quinn asks
"Um...nothing, really. Went to, uh, target a couple of times" They laugh, "Um, I think I'm stretched. Is this the path, here?" I ask
"Yeah" They say
"Okay" I say and take off

I'm laying in bed with Jeremy and Sharice, "I'm quitting" I say
"No, no, you're not" Jeremy says
"I hate it there" I say
"It's only been a day. Just give it a chance" He says
"No, come back to Newton. Give up your dreams, Cam" Sharice says
"Maybe I should. Honestly, the students suck, the classes suck. Just a big old ball of suck. And the school bell sounds like an elf hitting a tiny triangle. Which, at first I thought was soothing, but then it gets really creepy" I say
"Yeah, that would weird me out, too" He says
"And the team captain, Izzie, hates me for some reason" I say
"I will kill her" She says
"You're pretty wound up today, aren't you?" I ask
"Yeah, it's really hard without you. You balance me" She says
Then my phone rings, "Ugh! It's my mom" I decline, "She's been calling me, all day, to see how it went" I say
"That's cool of her" We give him looks, "No, it's not. Ugh. She's awful. We hate her" He says
"Yeah. Correct" I say
"Look, I know it's tough for you at school right now, but you're awesome. And anybody that gets to know you loves you, even snooty assholes. I should probably be worried about some fancy rich dude stealing you away from me" He says and chuckles
"You probably should" I say before kissing him
"I mean, you guys can do this, but I am not leaving" She says
"Okay" I say chuckling
"Hey, Sam, don't you think Cam should come back to Newton?" She asks him as we sit up
"I actually dint miss her at all too. So, no" He says
"Well, that's totally not hurtful at all" I say
"Dad brought pizza. There's enough for everyone, but only if all non-family members only have one slice" He says and leaves
We lay back down, "Hey, don't worry about school. You got this" Jeremy says
"And if you don't, you can always come back to Newton. Go, Owls! Hoot, hoot!" She laughs, "What's happening to me?" She asks
