Kerrigan's POV:

I sighed as I placed my satchel on the couch in the front room heading into the Kitchen to take some Ibuprofen since I was having major headaches all day my dad wasn't home my brothers were out doing god knows what so I was stuck by myself

Me: I guess if their out I can take a nap before they get back... Might give me time for these meds to kick in..!

I mumbled to myself as I kick off my shoes at the bottom step and walked upstairs to my bedroom I put my phone on my charger and listened to some soft wind sounds I always liked them and soon enough I drifted off into sleep

Varian's POV:

I rode on my wagon it's been at least a few hours since I left old Corona it was pretty nice and all after a few more hours it got darker and I wandered up on an open field

Me: what do you think Rudigger, Prometheus? Should we rest here??

I heard their noises of agreement and nodded there was tree I thought would make for a good area to set up but I saw something-.. No. Someone... It was a girl..! I quickly got off my wagon and checked if she was breathing and sighed in relief

Me: rudigger get me a blanket!

I called to my raccoon and he quickly got me one and I wrapped it around the girl laying her back down once again taking a closer look at her she was beautiful with long brown hair she had a streak of teal peaking through her bangs just like me she had pale skin maybe she was sick I took off my glove and felt her forehead

Me: no fever...

I mumbled but just to make sure I set up a small fire and started making some soup along with setting up some other things while she was asleep like the tent and my study station

Kerrigan's POV:

I groaned softly as I heard the soft crackles of a campfire 'did the ambience sounds change again' I opened my eyes and saw the fire in front of me

Me: huh..?

I noticed the blanket around me and I kept it close nuzzling into it I could smell a faint scent of freshly baked bread and cinnamon which was a surprisingly nice combo I look down at myself I was wearing brown boots and pants along with a Victorian themed shirt a pair of goggles with dark blue lenses hung around my neck

Me: where-..

I spoke softly as I looked around

Varian: oh wow...

I perked up and looked over my cheeks turning a soft pink Varian was standing right in front of me VARIAN

Varian: h-hey glad to see y-you uh-.. You woke up!

He said his cheeks turning a soft red 'was he-.. Blushing..?' I thought to myself as he sat next to me

Varian: how do you feel?

Me: fine I guess...

Varian: that's good to hear I'm Varian by the way..!

He spoke with his usual grin making my heart melt but I kept a straight face

Me: Kerrigan.

I mumbled and looked at me confused

Varian: Kerrigan??

Me: yeah..?

Varian: sorry but it's kinda funny our names are similar!

I nod and look at the fire it was warm the silence was once again broken when Varian cleared his throat
