On here, what do book covers represent to some people? Of course, this by no means applies to all books but I ran a poll a little while ago and these were some of the results!
🌸 They show that an author cares about their book enough to make an effort, even if it's not them designing the cover themselves. .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆ I only partly agree with this because someone can still care a lot about their book with a stereotypically bad cover.
🌹 Better-looking covers usually mean the writer is older so the book is better. .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆ I do find mature writers go for specialist-designed covers but sometimes new people to Wattpad also don't know where to start with covers and that's okay!
🌻 Covers tell you the theme of the story so when there is not, I'm not encouraged to read it .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆ I completely agree! In reading fanfics, you want to know the vibe of it first! Afterall, some people love romance, and other's like dark fics!

As a Graphic Design student and freelancer, what do I consider a good cover?
Wattpad Fan Fiction covers are very different from book covers, that much should be remembered. People on Wattpad are quick strollers so you need something more catered to that, as well as the fact it is fan fiction.
🌸 It should draw people in with things they care about, whether this be the main character or a clear show of the fandom. A Harry Potter cover shouldn't have a race car on it, y'know?
🌸 It should be clear. The pictures should not be blurry, otherwise, what's the point in having them? The text should also be readable.
🌸 On Wattpad, Fanfictions that show cast members do better than those that just show text or a random image.

While I do make my own covers, I no longer have time to make them for others. So, here are some graphic shops I would recommend.
Note: Graphic shops do not require real money. They're called 'shops' because most require you to follow them, comment, give credit etc.
