It was currently evening, and you were with Freddy in his room

"Got your costume on, Freddy?"

"Mhm!" He hums while looking into his vanity

"Lemme see it then!"

He turns around to show himself off wearing that pumpkin mask you bought him a little bit ago

"How do I look?" He strikes a cute pose

"You look... Cute!"

"Thank you! That's what I was going for." He smiles

"You don't wanna look scary? That's what Halloween is about!"

"Uh-Uh..." He shakes his head

"Well, that's okay! But to be honest, you've always struck me as the guy to put a white sheet over himself and pretend to be a ghost."

"Actually, I did do that one year. But..."

(🌀Mini flashback...🌀)

Monty, Roxy, and Chica were all waiting for Freddy near the fountain in the lobby

"Geez, what is taking him so long?" Chica tapped her foot impatiently

"Hi, guys! Sorry I'm so late..."

They all looked over to see him coming down the stairs dressed up in a white sheet

"Freddy, can you even see in that?"

"I assure you I can-"

Just as he made it to the last step, he accidentally slipped on the sheet and face-planted right on the cold ground

"I'm okay..." His voice was muffled as he lay flat on the floor

(Flashback over!)

"Ooh, ouch..." You cringe

"Mhm, I had to stay in my room for the whole day too because my nose was swollen..." He frowns

"That sucks..."

"Yeah. But I also have the love of my life right by my side this year to love and protect me from anything scary!"

He sets his mask aside and wraps his arms around you, hugging you close and tight

"You'll protect me, right?" He whispers

"Of course!" You chuckle and pat his back

"Thank you." He gives you a peck on the cheek before pulling away

"And if it happens again, at least you'll have me to stay here with you and share candy through the whole day!"

"Right, that reminds me, the Pizzaplex is going to be open past closing time tonight for a Halloween party. I won't have any shows to be at, I wanted to tell you just in case, though." He smiles

"Really? Sounds cool!"

"It kind of is. I don't like how they allow alcohol in regulated areas though..."

"Ah. There must be a lot of passed-out drunk people during the whole event, huh?"

"Yeah, I even found someone passed out on my couch one year..."
