It was a rather normal day today... Well, more like boring. Cain had told the circus crew the tv signal was broken, so we couldn't really do another adventure today.

Ragatha, King and Zooble went to their rooms while Gangle was crying over her comedy mask breaking again. You wondered where Jax was... You and Jax had a very weird relationship. You two were best friends, though, he treated you differently from the others.

He'd tease you more, but on the other hand when the two of you would be alone in some sort of way, he'd be super sweet and kind to you. For the past few days he's been touching you more often, like placing a hand on your shoulder, patting your head. But also sitting right next to you with dinner.

You weren't lying if you said you actually enjoyed this kind of attention from Jax, but since teasing is exactly Jax's main characteristic, you'd just brush it off and ignore the butterflies in your stomach every time he was around.

"You looking for something, shortstack?" An all too familiar voice calls from up high. You look up to see Jax sitting on one of the many big cubes, that were all over the circus floor. He jumped down and landed right in front of you with his infamous smirk. "Or maybe even rather... Someone~" He smirked at you.

You huffed. "Don't tell me you've been there all morning... Where even were you during breakfast?" You ask a little annoyed. "Wasn't hungry. And yes, I've been here all morning." He responds.

"Well that's a first, you're always hungry!" You say and he laughs. "Anyhoo... Wanna play a game to kill the time?" He asks in the most serious voice you've heard him speak in. "What kind of game are we talking?" You ask and he laughs again.

"How about hide and seek? You hide, I seek. And if I find you within 15 minutes you'll have to give me some sort of prize." He suggests and you think. "It wasn't really a suggestion though, play hide and seek with me." He says leaning in slightly at which you try not to blush.

"A-and what is this so called 'prize'..?" You ask and he chuckles. "A kiss~" He smirks. "And not just any kiss, a real kiss on the lips." He fills up and you blush probably 20 shades of red at this point.

"So... do we have a deal?" He asks extending his hand towards you. You hesitate for a moment before sighing and shaking his hand. "Great, I'll count to 50 and then I'll start searching for you. Oh and uhhh..." He pauses for a moment. "Make sure to make it a little bit challenging for me." He winks before facing the cube behind him.

"1... 2... 3... 4..." He starts counting as you panic and start running for it. You run out of the tent and seek for a good hiding place. "What's wrong y/n?" You hear someone ask you and you quickly turn around to see the Sun smiling at you.

"I'm playing hide and seek with Jax, but I can't find a good hiding place in time!" You explain and the Sun shares a glances with the Moon. "You can hide on me." The Moon smiles as she lowers herself down, so you can climb on her.

You smile as you hear Jax counting. "40...! 41...! 42...!" You quickly climb on the Moon as she rises back up and you hide in one of her craters, looking down to see Jax searching off the whole circus tent for you.

10 minutes have past already and Jax was getting frustrated now that he still hadn't found you yet. "Y/N!! WHERE ARE YOU??!!" He yells as he was panicking now. "Wow... He sure cares about you." Moon says and you nod, blushing at his panicking figure. "Oh, quick hide! He's coming outside!" Sun whispers and you let yourself fall deeper into the crater.

"HEY YOU TWO!!" He yells out of breath. "Yes?" Moon asks. "Have you seen y/n??!" He asks. "Y/n... Hmmm... y/n?" Sun mumbles. "YES Y/N!! A SHORT GIRL, BEAUTIFUL H/C H/L HAIR, E/C EYES AND THE SWEETEST PERSONALITY YOU'VE EVER SEEN!!" He yells back up and your cheeks flush bright red.

You check the digital clock that had appeared in the sky when Jax started counting. '5... 4... 3... 2... 1...' It counts backwards before setting off an alarm. "Guess time's up." Moon says as she lowers herself down and you show yourself, climbing out of the crater.

Before you could even thank Moon, Jax tackles you in a tight hug. "Woah! Jax, we were playing hide and seek! What's with all this?" You ask confused yet concerned.

"I hate to not know where you are. Like Pomni you were so confused about everything and you locked yourself in your room for weeks. I felt so bad for you back then... I swore to protect you from that day, and always knowing where you are... But I guess..."

He paused for a moment. "I guess... that not knowing where you are, even though it's just for a game... just drives me crazy... I care so much for you..." He whispers softly, earning two 'Awwww!' 's in return at which he jumps.

"Ah, but you cannot say I'm not a man of my word. You've won this one, shortstack. And here's your prize!" He exclaims. While you were still trying to process everything he just said, you felt a pair of lips connect with yours.

'Oh my God, Jax is actually kissing me??!!' You mentally screamed but before you could do anything more, he pulled away with a smirk. "There. How was that for you?" He asks. "I... I... Uhhh..........." You stammer and he laughs. "You can get more in my room, shortstack." He says walking inside the circus tent again.

You stay there completely frozen as she Sun and Moon laugh softly at you. "Well if that isn't going to be a healthy relationship..." Moon smiles and Sun nods.

"Y/n!! Signal is back up! Time for another adventure!" Cain calls teleporting in front of you, making you snap back to reality. "Yeah... uhhh... C-coming..." You mutter, walking back in meeting the gang... including a smirking Jax.
