"I don't know when my parents wake up, but whatever," Hail Sign says. He looks at his alarm clock. It says 3:13 AM. Hail Sign gets up and tiptoes into the kitchen. "There are no cookies in the fridge, but there are some in the cupboard!" Hail Sign whispers. He looks up at the cupboard. Hail Sign scans the floor for a stool or something to get up there. He walks around the kitchen and goes back to the cupboard. He climbs onto the counter top and reaches up for the cupboard, still being a bit too short to reach. He opens the cupboard, barely managing to reach the handle, and his hands feel around for the cookie jar. He, eventually, makes out the smooth surface of glass and wraps his hands around the cylindrical container. "Ah-hah!" Hail Sign whisper-shouts. He moves to the right a little so the cookie jar has space on the counter. He pulls it down and it falls out of his hands and falls onto the floor with a loud crash. "Shhhh- I mean- Cracks of thunder!" Hail Sign says, saving himself from swearing.
A loud voice comes from within the house.
"WHAT WAS THAT!?
"Oh, no," Hail Sign mutters in a small voice.

"I-I don't know... I've never had to get over a fear before! I wish I could just stay home with my dads and never have to go high again..." Kite explains.
