The sun burned my skin. I must've kept the curtain open last night. I groan at the thought of morning. Why did today have to come so early. I reach for my phone, one eye open and one eye closed. 6:49am. That's why the sun feels so warm. The sunrise. I slowly sit up, head fuzzy from head rush. I pull my curtain back with my right hand, putting my weight on my left-palm flat on the mattress. I wince from the bright light that blinds me. Eventually, my eyes adjust and I'm able to experience the calming harmony of a sunrise. It's beautiful.
