I have listened to a thousand songs
All throughout my life it's been this way all along
And now as I grew older
I seem to seek my own
The melody to keep it in my heart
To save it in my mind
And always sing it with the best of me
Never to get old
Often we get rhythms
So confused in parts
As music is my solace
I can't live without
But hear me when I utter
The lyrics of my heart
It can be so confusing
But the world knows it's one of a kind
Each one here needs to write their melodies
Heard and played for one to listen
It's the heartbeat sound
That reechoes someone's life
Though none could understand
It'll always, always be music
To the one who made it be.
