Magnolia and Evangeline

 In the realm of words,
where Evangeline
resides,
Doubts emerge,
as beauty within her hides.

She pens her heart,
concealed truths unfurled,
A symphony of emotions in a chaotic swirl.

A song named “Magnolia”
starts to play its part,
Captivating her soul,
igniting her fragile heart.

Yet in its verses, a reflection
she does see,
A beauty so perfect, she
believes she can’t be.

She gazes upon herself
in a mirror’s embrace,
Seeing flaws, feeling
shame in every trace.

A battle within, these
thoughts that berate,
As she longs to be
as beautiful as fate.

Insecurities burst forth,
a storm inside her mind,
As Magnolia’s radiance leaves her self-esteem confined.

“How can I compete?”
she questions in despair.

As Magnolia’s perfection seems so unfair.

Described as a force,
she can move the sea,
Her words a siren’s kiss,
a potent decree.

Invisible to her, the
world turns in her grace,
Evangeline yearns to
take Magnolia’s place.

In life, we all encounter
our Magnolias, it’s true,
They seem to have it all,
a different hue.

And in their shadow,
we might feel small,
Yet remember,
dear Evangeline,
you have it all.

For beauty transcends
the physical domain,
It’s in the uniqueness
of your soul’s terrain.

You are your own masterpiece,
a radiant star,
No need to compare,
for you are who you are.
