Cali sat quietly zoned out at the tiny breakfast table with no breakfast in front of her. She held her breath as Lonnie walked by chewing obnoxiously. Cali had gone to the bakery down the street and picked up fresh bread like she always did. Only enough for one. That was her limit if what she was allowed to buy. Lonnie was off to work, he had the job set to go before they arrived in Tulsa. He stared her down then shut the front door.

Sobs wracked her frame once more and her hands shook. Wiping her tears she peeked through the curtains to make sure he was definitely gone. She tied up her laces and shoved cigarettes in her tight jeans pocket and jogged down the steps and out the exit of the motel. She walked down the empty streets with no destination. She was alone with her thoughts and that was dangerous. Fights always started or someone or herself got hurt. She was no longer sad or crying but angry. So angry at nothing in particular.

Cars sped by and she crossed the road not caring to look up. A car speeding towards her skidded to a stop and held down the car horn for an unnecessarily long time. Cali just stood still in the middle of the road, turned toward the car and flipped off the driver. She kicked the car wheel and walked on only for the car to follow up beside her and scream out.
" ahy princess watch where yer going, ain't no one gonna be scraping you off the road" a boy around a year older with brown hair , and deep brown eyes leaned out his window sneering at her. He wore an unoriginal brown leather jacket that matched his eyes.
" Fuck off" Cali looked away n kept walking. " wow no need for the hostility doll" he was smirking now and that pissed her off more.
"Dally stop" another voice hissed from the passenger seat. She couldn't see him he was sunk in his chair and hiding behind who she now knew as the dick head Dallys body, he looked as if he was hiding.
Dally whipped towards the voice and she could now see who it was. " Johnny boy?" a smirk was now slapped on her face and she stopped walking.
" Heya Cali" Johnny smiled sheepishly in embarrassment that he had been caught and gave her a small wave.
"Who ya hidin from ?" She smiled wickedly and walked up to the window of the now parked up car. " Ye JohnJohn why ya hidin? So this is the famous Cali huh? I gotta say she is as stunnin as you three said" Dally looked her up and down smirking. " You shut it. I ain't talking to you" Cali came to Johnnys defence. " Ima ask again, what's with the hostility doll?" He stared deep into her eyes waiting for her response but she looked past him now giving a dirty look. " Where ya off to Johnny?" She switched the subject quickly his stare making her nervous.Dally laughed out at her refusal to respond but his eyes never left her face. " Not sure just takin a drive, might stop into a friends job...wanna come with?" Johnny leaned past Dally. " Where is it? I'll meet ya there i ain't trust this guy behind the wheel he just nearly knocked me down."

Dally rolled his eyes and it started to drizzle rain " don't be so dramatic, you walked out in front of me doll" the rain was getting heavier by the second. " come on doll face hope in the back, safe n sound, I promise I'll go slow" He winked reached behind him into the back seat popping the door open from inside. " We don't want you getting a cold now do we?" Dally stares at her not blinking n shoved the door open more bext he could. " Come on I'll supervise him, won't let nothing happen to ya" Johnny piped up with pleading eyes. " Alri but if I end up dead I'm haunting ya Johnny, I'd be haunting Dally but Im already going to hell no point visiting early"
Dally found that funny and Johnny was surprised he did.

Johnny caught the way Dally was looking at her in his rearview mirror n it grossed him out. Johnny looked back at her to smile n saw the dark bags under her eyes and how red they were, he doesn't remember the dark circles being there yesterday. Her lip was healing fine. No doubt with all the lookin Dally was doing that he had seen it all as well. He turned back in his seat n sat in thought the whole way to the DX.
