The past few months have been a wild mess of things for Fiona Twickenham - she's left her home in Liverpool to move to London for work along with her best friend Meg, hoping to stay connected with those she left behind at home, as well as the Beatles in faraway Hamburg. As John's letters stop, London becomes a place not of connection, but escape. That all changes when two unlucky young men find themselves needing a ride from London to Liverpool - forcing Fiona to face that which she's tried to forget.
