Luo Hai just stared at Jin Qiu without saying anything. Before coming back here, he has been warned by Ren Zhengsheng to not let Jin Qiu come to the lake no matter what. Because at the moment, Ren Zhengsheng might be fighting with his own desires to kill more people.
Just then, Pan Zhiqiang arrived. "I will take you there if you want." Said the man as he approached the group.
"Pan Zhiqiang, do you know what you're saying right now?" Luo Hai looked slightly angry.
"I'm saying it because I know that it would be best to let Jin Qiu stay with His Majesty now."
Jin Qiu doesn't understand a single things that the warlords talked about, but he felt like something like before, like when Ren Zhengsheng lose control at the village, is happening again.
"Did he drink that thing again? The one that made him lose control like before?" Jin Qiu asked.
Pan Zhiqiang shakes his head. "No, it's not like that. I don't think I can explain it with words so it's better if you see it for yourself." He replied. "Let's go. I will take you there."
Jin Qiu nodded his head and followed Pan Zhiqiang to an area that seemed untouched.
Everything surrounded by large tree.
It's quite a surprise that Ren Zhengsheng knew about a place like this in another continent. After all, the place doesn't look like a place that people frequented.
After a while, they found the lake where the moon shines down on it. At the side of the water, stood Ren Zhengsheng with hand holding bloodied sword. The man just stared at the water surface.
"Zheng-"
Pan Zhiqiang covered Jin Qiu's mouth and pulled the man to hide behind one of the tree.
"What do you think are you doing?"
"Not now. If you approach him now, you will get involved in the bloody fight that's about to happen here."
Jin Qiu raised an eyebrow but a moment later, several men that looked like an assassins jumped on Ren Zhengsheng. Easily and precisely, Ren Zhengsheng slaughtered them. Blood splattered all over the ground with bodies that fell with thuds.
At that moment, Ren Zhengsheng looked different.
Jin Qiu haven't stayed with Ren Zhengsheng for that long, but he knew that Ren Zhengsheng is someone who enjoys fight. But right now, the man looked empty.
"Explain to me." Jin Qiu whispered while watching Ren Zhengsheng from far.
"Personally, I don't know much about it, but Luo Hai said this is some kind of thought that appear to protect His Majesty's mind from going crazy." Pan Zhiqiang started. "It is said that His Majesty will lock his emotion and heart deep inside whenever he went to war. Because-"
"Because it will be easier for him to kill his enemies." Jin Qiu interrupted.
"That's right."
Jin Qiu summoned his sword and was about to step out from their hiding place when Pan Zhiqiang grabbed his arm. Jin Qiu looked down to his arm and then looked at the commander. "I love him, Zhiqiang. I love him so I want to help him overcome something like this."
"You will get hurt."
"I'm not afraid to get hurt. Now you should go back to the camp and tell Kang Ying to get ready to treat one of us. Well... I think I will end up getting hurt instead."
But Pan Zhiqiang still holding Jin Qiu's arm quite tightly, refusing to let go. He knew Jin Qiu love the Emperor and he knew just how much the Emperor loves Jin Qiu. He was the one who made the decision to take Jin Qiu here, but he never want for Jin Qiu to get hurt or even get killed because of this.
