Episode 8: TDB (The Day Before)

Kitty laid her head on Q's shoulder, "I'm sorry Q."

"It's okay. I'm glad I got it off my chest, I feel lighter now that I told you both."

"Hey, you know you can always tell us anything okay?" Minho said as he patted his knee.

"Thanks you guys...I love you both."

"Oh we love you too Q." Kitty hugged him and the three friends spent the rest of the evening bonding.

"So Kitty, are you going with Dae and his girlfriend or is it just you two?" Minho and Kitty were eating their lunch. 

"I honestly don't know but I would love you to come. Did you really think I would go by myself?" Kitty nudged her boyfriend as he let out a small smile.

"No, I was just asking. But why do you think he had to come and talk to you? He could have just texted."

"Right? I thought it was weird," Kitty took another bite of her pork, "all I know is, as long as you're with me, everything will be okay."

Minho kissed her stuffed cheek as they continued to eat their lunch.

"Hey you two lovebirds, it's the weekend tomorrow. What do we have planned?" Q sat in front of Kitty with his tray of lunch.

"Well you know, just going to Namsan with Kitty's ex who also, happens to be our best friend." 

Kitty stopped eating and Q had his food in midair, "You really had to word it like that Minho?"

"What? I mean it's the truth!"

"It just sounds...wrong in so many ways."

"Well we know how it is between us. It's not so wrong." Minho said as he took a sip of water.

"Hey Kitty, do you by chance know the answer to this?"

 Q and Kitty were in their last class of the day, journalism was going well for them and they enjoyed having a class together.

One of their classmates approached the two, "Hey Kitty, the professor wanted to talk to you."

"Thanks."

Wonder what about? I haven't done anything wrong. Oh wow, just because she wanted to talk to me doesn't mean I did something wrong.

"You asked for me Professor Cho?"

"Ms. Katherine, I was hoping you could help out one of your classmates. As you currently have the highest grade, Mr. Lee needs some assistance."

"Okay, I'll do my best to help. Who is it?"

"He's right over there." Kitty's eyes followed to the end of Professor Cho's finger, eyes landing on Soobin who was already smiling and waving.

You've got to be kidding me. Why do I have to have the highest grade? I can't get out of it...I've already committed and I was asked -- just do it quickly.

Kitty grabbed her notebook from her spot, "Q, I have to help someone real quick so I'll be right back."

"Okay, no worries."

Quickly walking back and sitting, she turned to face him, "What do you need help with?"

"I didn't think you'd be so eager to help me Kitty."

"I'm not and again, it's Katherine to you."

"Why do you hate me?"

"If that is your question then I will go. I am only here to help with the class and nothing else."

"Alright, got it. I was just trying to understand you. Anyways, I need help with this."

Kitty ignored who he was and treated him as if he was another student; answering and helping as much as she could. Once he understood she left him with nothing else to say.

"You helped Soobin?" Q asked once Kitty sat down and laid her head down.

"Professor Cho asked me because I currently have the highest grade. Q you're the one who should have the highest grade."

"Well I'm sorry Kitty, I'm not as smart as you. But anyways, are you okay? You look stressed."

"I'm good. Let's just get out of here. I'm already done with the assignment and she said we could go early."

"Alright then, let's go."

"So how do you feel about going to Namsan tower?" 

Q and Kitty were back in her dorm for the evening. Kitty's roommates were always out, so she never got the chance to bond with them to her disappoint. 

"Nothing? Maybe, since we're already going up there, Minho and I could do ours."

"That'd be good. You got a special outfit?"

Kitty raised her eyebrow, "I don't have one but I don't think I want to wear one. Since we're going with others."

"Well, you're arriving with them, it doesn't mean you're going to hang out with them afterwards."

Kitty's eyes widened in realization and had a big smile, "Q I don't know what I'd do without you." She kissed his cheek as she went to her closet and he followed, sitting on her bed.

"I don't know either Kitty. I really don't."

The two friends began to go through Kitty's clothes as it was a little late on Friday, the two didn't feel like going out so Q helped her pick an outfit.

Ep 8 done~ it's not too long as the fun will be in the next chapter 🤭 as you finished reading, it is a bit rushed but i just wanted this day to be done so we could get in to tomorrow (Namsan day)
