I woke up sensing the sunlight creeping through the blinds, and of course it was right on my face. I shifted my position in the bed to move out of the rays, but then I realized there was too much space. I reached out for Lauren only to find out she wasn't there. That couldn't have been a dream, could it? I kept my eyes closed, silently praying that it wasn't a dream, hoping she wouldn't be asleep on her couch.

I finally opened my eyes to search the room for my favorite pair of green eyes. I wanted her to be playing a joke on me, so when I opened my eyes she'd be right there ready to say 'Gotchya!' But she wasn't. Nor was she on the couch, or anywhere in the room. There weren't any clothes on the floor either. Oh no.

Before I could throw a pity party, Lauren came out of the bathroom in a black robe and her hair wet.

"Hey you." She chirped happily. "How're you feeling?"

"Uh, fine I guess." I mumbled, trying to hide my sad mood.

"What's wrong?" She caught on.

"N-nothing."

"Does it hurt?"

"No." I hummed out then flipped onto my stomach to hide my face in the pillow, causing soreness to spread throughout my body.

"Really? That's good." She said and I heard her rummaging through her drawer. I hummed in response, not really caring about my pain.

"How do your ribs feel?"

"Huh?" I'm so confused, didn't she just ask that.

"I didn't hurt you last night, did I?" Guilt started filling her face.

"Wait, what?" I slowly propped myself up on my elbows, making the covers slide down my body to reveal my bare shoulders. I grabbed the sheets before anymore of my naked-self could be shown.

"It's alright Camz, I've seen it already." Lauren chuckled and winked at me. "Here's some clothes if you want to shower." She handed me some of her sweats.

"Thanks." I smiled, taking the clothes from her hands.

"And here's a towel." She handed me a fuzzy blue towel then kissed my forehead. "Did you sleep well?" She sat down on the edge of the bed.

"Yeah, I did." I couldn't hide the smile when I remembered falling asleep in her arms.

"Oh, so you remember now?" She smirked.

"Remember what?"

"You were so confused a couple of seconds ago, like you forgot what we did last night." She said, trying to hide the hurt in her voice but I sensed it.

"I didn't forget. I just...didn't think it was real." I mumbled the last part but she heard me and instantly smiled.

"Trust me, it was real babe." She leaned down to kiss me. I smiled into it and reciprocated the kiss, grabbing her cheek to prolong it. Lauren placed her hand on me cheek too, but she pushed right on the bruise making me flinch back and wince. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I forgot." She rambled.

"It's okay." I chuckled. "I forgot too."

"Are you sure I didn't hurt you last night?"

"Yes. I am positive." I smiled.

"Okay." She breathed out in relief. "If you say so."

"Now I..." I trailed wrapping the towel around my body, "am going to shower."

"Why are you hiding." She pouted, tugging at the towel. Oh my god, she's adorable.

"Didn't get enough last night?" I smirked. She smiled in response and shook her head while slowly leaning in.
