As expected, the man of the Jiang family arrived soon enough with plenty of dowry, a lot more than that of an average marriage which sent the Yu family into raptures who had to feign calmness and put on an act.

On that same day, Yu Jinli followed those men back to the Jiang family. The men of the Jiang family stole glances at Yu Jinsheng instinctively when they saw Yu Jinli but didn't say anything and took Yu Jinli back with them.

Seeing the men of the Jiang family finally leave, Sun Dumei and Yu Jinsheng let out a sigh of relief, grateful that they avoided a disaster.

Yu Jinli, who followed the men of the Jiang family and left didn't have many feelings since he only arrived in this world a short while back. The most important thing for him now was to adapt to it.

Though he had received memories of his host, since his host had lived in suffering under the torment of Yu family, never went to school and knew little of his world, there was so much of this world he needed to learn.

The old steward of the Jiang family was one of those men who were sent to the Yu family. He had a relatively important position in the Jiang family. Seeing how quiet and timid Yu Jinli was on their way back to the Jiang family, he smiled at him mildly.

Though the Yu family broke its promise this time, he couldn't help sighing whenever he thought of the current state the Jiang family was in and the young master who was always under his watch as he grew up lain sick in bed. It was exactly Jiang Mosheng's health that put off the wedding ceremony which led the Jiang family to feel guilty, so they had allowed Yu family's bastard son to marry into its family...

"I'm the steward of the Jiang family. You can call me Uncle Jiang. Both My Lady and My Lord are nice people. You won't be bullied in the Jiang family." The old steward said gently.

Though this young man was a bit timid and weak, he had a pair of pure eyes. When he looked at people into the eyes, he awakened the kindness in them whose voice would become soft in turn in fear that they might frighten him.

"Mhm, thank you, Uncle Jiang." Yu Jinli answered with a shy smile which turned his originally good-looking face more attractive.

Yu Jinli didn't worry about his future since this old steward of the Jiang family was shrouded by red aura which was a symbol of good fortune.

A family with a fortunate steward must have been a wealthy one. He was more than happy to become a member of such a family. What was he scared off? To be honest, Yu Jinli was fairly happy when he found out he still had his ability to tell fortune shortly after he had transmigrated.

He was a good fortune koi fish who could tell fortune and make luck turn in one's favor. However, he seldom initiated a change of luck for people since luck was limited.

For example, a man's luck could be counted, if Yu Jinli helped someone to become luckier, that luck would have come from the man's future fortune who might have to face old age in straightened circumstances because of that.

Of course, one had to borrow luck from others if one didn't want to spend one's fortune in advance. However, that was against the nature. In a severe case, someone might lose his life over it. Yu Jinli would never do something like that as a genie who had cultivated in accordance with the rules of nature.
