"Take care, Hermione. Don't push yourself too hard," Rosabelle urged.

Hermione sighed tiredly, looking up to see the concerned expression on Rosabelle's face. She was the last student left in the class, having shared with Rosabelle her use of the Time-Turner for all her classes. It sparked worry in the professor.

"I've got to go now. I've got Divination after this. Thank you, Professor," Hermione said, offering a smile before swiftly leaving the classroom to head to Divination.

Rosabelle shook her head, observing Hermione's departure, but a sudden chill ran down her spine. It felt like someone, or something, was watching her.

Scanning the class, she found nothing amiss. Perhaps it was just her imagination playing tricks on her?

Her gaze swept the room again, fixing on the window. For a brief moment, she thought she saw a large, bear-like black dog before it vanished.

Her eyes narrowed, the image triggering a memory. Unconsciously, her lips murmured the name.

"Sirius Black?"

Rosabelle let out a yelp as she felt a pair of arms encircle her waist. The tension eased almost instantly when she caught the familiar scent of cologne, a fragrance she adored.

"Sev, don't startle me like that."

Severus chuckled softly from behind, nestling his head closer to her neck, taking in a deep breath. Exhausted and in need of a recharge, he raised his wand without lifting his head and muttered the locking charm on the door.

They swayed together in a slow dance, Severus' arms wrapped around her waist and her hands gripping his arms. Her back was against his chest.

"Don't leave me," Severus whispered, pulling her even closer to his chest.

Rosabelle furrowed her brows, understanding the underlying worry. He knew that Sirius would come looking for her sooner or later. Rosabelle was aware of that as well. However, whatever Sirius shared with her, she would share it with Severus too. They had promised not to hide anything from each other.

"I won't."

Rosabelle turned around and brushed the strands of hair away from Severus' eyes. Tiptoeing, she enveloped her arms around his neck and pressed her lips against his.

Severus felt his worries dissipate, replaced by a comforting warmth. One of his hands tenderly traced up and down her back, while the other gently guided her head, intensifying the kiss and drawing a soft whimper from her.

Rosabelle clutched his robe to steady herself, feeling her legs wobble like jelly. Severus smirked slightly, recharged and intent on leaving a trail of kisses on her cheeks and neck.

The hand that had been tracing her back now held her firmly, preventing her from collapsing to the ground.

After a few minutes, Rosabelle was seen resting her head against Severus' shoulder as they sat on a couch. Their hands were tightly intertwined, and Severus' thumb gently traced the ring on her finger.

The black dog from earlier narrowed its eyes and huffed annoyingly. "Of course, she would end up with that blasted Snivellus."

The dog transformed into a handsome man – Sirius Black. Even after years of torment in Azkaban, with his pale, thin body, he still retained his good looks. It was Sirius Black, after all; it seemed to be in his genes. The glint returned to his eyes as soon as he spotted Rosabelle from afar earlier.

He looked down at his trembling hand, murmuring, "If only I had arrived minutes earlier that day, would you have chosen me instead, Rosabelle?"

On the very day Severus Snape professed his love to Rosabelle, Sirius Black had purchased a promise ring. Although not one to easily commit, Sirius was prepared to make an exception for Rosabelle.

Picture the sorrow and frustration he felt upon watching her locked in a kiss with the man he despised.

How could he possibly let her go and move on? His love for the woman ran deep. She saw him for who he truly was—the real him. She was there when he shed tears, and she was the one whose shoulder he leaned on in moments of vulnerability.

Sirius still stashed the ring somewhere in his home.

Unbeknownst to him, tears fell onto his hand. In this world, he had no one left who truly trusted him. However, he believed that Remus and Rosabelle might trust him if he explained everything. Convincing his godson, on the other hand, could prove to be a more challenging task and he needed help.
