Heeseung's POV I cradled Faith gently in my arms, trying to comfort her as best as I could. "We'll get Mommy back, princess," I reassured her, "Don't worry." She nodded, still pouting.
Dr. Choi took Joyce under his care, and Jake and I decided to go with him. As we gathered our things and headed to the hospital, Hoon joined us.
Once we arrived, we went straight to the front desk to ask for Joyce's room number. "Can you tell us what room Joyce Jackson is in???" Hoon asked the nurse. She quickly typed on her computer before looking up at us. "She's in room 322," she replied.
We thanked her and headed to the third floor, finding Joyce's room soon after. Dr. Choi was just finishing placing bandages around her belly. "How is she???" Sunoo asked, worriedly.
Dr. Choi reassured us, "She's okay. I managed to stop the bleeding. She'll feel some cramping as she heals, but she should be back to normal in a week."
We all let out a sigh of relief and gathered around Joyce's bed. "Will she be able to come home tonight???" Won asked.
Dr. Choi nodded, "Yes, but she may not have much of an appetite. She should only have soft foods and avoid anything red this week."
We all nodded, grateful for the good news. I carefully lifted Joyce into my arms and carried her to the van while Jongseong drove us back home.
Once we arrived, Joyce stopped in the middle of the living room, clearly in pain. "Cramping..." she muttered.
I couldn't help but frown, hearing the pain in her voice. "We know, Mamas. Would you like a warm drink???" I asked, trying to offer some comfort.
She nodded slightly, "Please..."
I quickly went to the kitchen to get her a drink, and when I returned, I saw Sunoo carrying Joyce upstairs. I handed her the drink, and she looked up at all of us with gratitude. "I'm sorry I worried all of you..." she apologized.
We all shook our heads, "It's okay, Mamas. You just need some rest," Jay reassured her.
She finished her drink and drifted off to sleep. We all sat around, taking deep breaths to calm ourselves.
"God, I thought she was dying..." Jake confessed.
"It was scary," Hoon added.
"We'll have to give the little ones some extra dessert for not panicking," Sunoo joked.
"Yeah, they were very good," I agreed with a smile.
We all decided to check on the little ones, and we found them watching TV in the playroom. Jungwon and Riki seemed to have slipped into their little space. We bathed and dressed them for the night before tucking them into bed.
As we all got ready for bed ourselves, I couldn't help but feel grateful that Joyce was safe and on the road to recovery...
