"On The Road To Chunin"

3 years have past since Yoshi has been apart of the Anbu and he his now old enough to participate in the Chunin Exams.

"Shobukai it's good to see you." Yoshi says, "Good to see you too Yoshi, how'd the test go?" Shobukai asks, "It was just a Clone, when do we get assigned to our teams I see everyone leaving with their team leaders?" Yoshi asks as Shobukai points to himself, "You're looking at him, welcome to team 1." Shobukai says as Yoshi looks at him with a devious side eye, "How am I in team 1, but I was picked last." Yoshi says as Shobukai laughs, two genin ninja walk from behind Shobukai, "Meet your team, Diamond Lee and Hotaru Aburame my daughter." Shobukai says as Yoshi looks at both of them, "WAIT a second, Shobukai you have a daughter, I didn't take you as the family type." Yoshi says as Hotaru looks at her father, "Dad why does he keep calling you by your first name?" Hotaru asks, "Oh, we met a few years ago, I was never his teacher, see Yoshi here was a member of the Anbu, I enlisted him under the Hokage's orders, now he's trying to become a Chunin, listen I need you all to get along." Shobukai says as Hotaru begins to stare at Yoshi, "What happened to your eye?" Hotaru asks, Yoshi laughs as he reveals his Sharingan, "YOSHI!" Shobukai yells, "What it should be fine, how can the team function if they don't know about my abilities, we're supposed to be able to use our abilities to go off each other, right." Yoshi says as Diamond's eyes widen and sparkle, "Let's see how well he uses it." Diamond thinks to himself as he tosses a senbon needle into the air, Yoshi notices the needle immediately, Yoshi looks up and brings his headband over his eyes as the needle drops hitting the headband and falling to the floor, "Oh wow, you didn't even use your Sharingan, Shobukai sensei good pick." Diamond says as Yoshi looks at him grinning, "He's interesting, I don't know how he guided that needle without ninjutsu, but he must be really good with ninja tools." Yoshi thinks to himself, "Diamond." Shobukai says as he turns to Diamond, "Sorry Shobukai sensei, but I can't become hokage with a wack team, just cause he passed the Clone test doesn't mean he's an able bodied ninja *scoffs* too many of our classmates were excited that they could make a Clone, my great grandfather couldn't even use ninjutsu and became a important piece in the 4th Great Ninja War off his own two hands...anyway its nice to meet you Yoshi, you know me as Diamond, but everyone calls me kid genius." Diamond says as he puts his hand out for Yoshi to shake, "Nobody calls you that." Hotaru says as Diamond turns to her, "*groans* why do you always hafta rain on my parade huh." Diamond says, "They call him the Ninja Tool Prodigy." Hotaru says as Diamond shakes his head, "They're practically the same thing." Diamond says as Hotaru turns to Yoshi, "No one calls him that though." Hotaru says as Diamond's nostrils flare, "What do they call you?" Yoshi asks as he turns to Hotaru, Hotaru looks while holding her chin with her left hand, "Ummmm...just Hotaru." Hotaru replies as Yoshi's lips twitch as he holds in a laugh, Shobukai notices and begins to laugh himself, "Shobukai sensei what's so funny?" Diamond says as Yoshi looks at Shobukai and also begins to laugh, "Hey....is there something on my face or something...y'all got hit with the GOOFY jutsu huh." Diamond says as his face grows red, Hotaru notices his frustration and joins in on the laughter, "Alright that's enough." Diamond says

Shobukai takes Team 1 to a forest outside of the village.

"You're next test will be to snatch this bell from my hip." Shobukai says Team 1 looks at the bell, "Ready, Set, Go." Shobukai says as Diamomd dashes toward him, "Alright sensei let's go." Diamond says as he summons a small scroll, upon opening the scroll a pair of Chakra Blades appear, Diamond grabs them as he dashes toward Shobukai, Hotaru follows Diamond, but stops after realizing Yoshi hasn't moved, Hotaru turns around and sees Yoshi make a hand sign, "Byakugan." Hotaru thinks to herself as her eyes see Yoshi collecting an immense amount of chakra, "I'll trust you." Hotaru says as she turns back, "MUSHI KABE NO JUTSU: INSECT WALL!" Hotaru yells as she summons a giant wall of Kikaichū beetles, Diamond notices this and summons a much larger scroll, upon opening the scroll 5 large smoke bombs fly off of the page in Shobukai's direction, the smoke bombs explode filling the forest with a mist like smoke, "What are they planning, wait Yoshi hasn't moved." Shobukai thinks to himself as he hops from tree to tree making his way over to Yoshi, "This should be around the time he should come looking for me...where's that left over clay I had..ah right here." Yoshi says as he uses the clay to summon an explosive clone, Shobukai appears behind Yoshi and dashes toward him, "Not so fast." Shobukai says as he grabs Yoshi's left wrist while pushing his left shoulder forward, but Yoshi's body begins to expand before exploding, "Gotcha." Yoshi says as he descends from a tree, as the smoke disperses Shobukai turns around to see Yoshi holding a hand sign, "NOW!" Yoshi yells as Hotaru descends from a tree, Hotaru summons Kikaichū beetles around her hand, "BUG BOMB!" Hotaru yells as she throws a huge sphere of beetles at Shobukai, Shobukai backs up, but upon making contact with the ground the beetles explode pushing Shobukai back, Diamond takes out a wire from his back pocket and sweeps Shobukai's feet from under him before attempting to wrap the wire around Shobukai's entire body, "PRIMARY LOTUS!" Diamond yells as he appears behind a trapped Shobukai, Diamond slams Shobukai into the ground making a crater before noticing a large amount of Kikaichū beetles in the center of the crater, Diamond looks above and sees Shobukai descending with a large amount of beetles in both hands, Yoshi appears in between Diamond and Shobukai, "I'm gonna need that bell." Yoshi says
