Never Give Up

"WAAAAGHHHH!!" Tanjiro hollered loudly as he slowly pushed his blade through Gyuutaro's neck.

'Cut through!! Cut through!! Win. We're gonna win. For sure.' Tanjiro pressured himself into thinking.

"Big brother!!" Daki shouted.

Tanjiro's eyes widened when Gyuutaro's figure flickered into himself for a moment.

'These circumstances will never change. If one thing had gone differently, I probably would have ended up in this situation myself. If I ever became a demon, I'm sure one of the demon slayers would come cut my head off.' Tanjiro thought.

"This can't be happening!! Your head can't get cut off by someone like that!!" Daki cried out.

All of a sudden, Daki's sash was sliced down in one quick movement.

Daki looked up and took notice of Zenitsu's figure with widened eyes.

'This guy!! He got out of the wreckage!!' Daki thought in surprise and disbelief.

Breath of Thunder First Form:

'I know how fast your techniques are!! I've seen them so many times!!' Daki sends in another barrage of sashes straight at Zenitsu's figure.

Godspeed

Daki glared at Zenitsu as her neck went sideways.

'So fas...' Daki was cut off when she heard a loud rip. 'Eep! It's getting cut off!! Crap!! This guy can really move...!'

'Cut, cut break through!! I can only use the flash's godspeed twice, then my legs will become useless. I used it once to get out of the wreckage, so I don't have any more charges left. So now's the only chance to get at her neck!! Tanjiro made this once-in-a-lifetime chance! I'll cut her neck off for sure!! I will!!' Zenitsu thought.

"NUUAAAHH!!" Tanjiro continued to shout as he put all his strength into his blade.

'Shiiit! I can't cut it!! It's too tough!! His body should be weakened from the poison. So I still lack the strength!! AAAGGHH!!!' Tanjiro mused.

Gyuutaro's body tensed up as he sent out a barrage of attacks.

'He's already recovered from the poison...!! He's trying to drag me in and rip me to shreds...!! The blade's getting pushed back...' Tanjiro was sent flying backward.

Gyuutaro got back onto his feet once he was able to get Tanjiro off of him.

'AAAHHH!! I was so close!! I just needed a little mo... Don't give up! Don't give up! Don't give up!!! Keep clawing to the very end!!' Tanjiro told himself.

"You braaaat!!" Gyuutaro as he continued to send multiple attacks at Tanjiro who was closing in on him.

'The speed of his attack is increasing!! The poison is wearing off! He'll go back to full strength!! Don't give up!! Don't give...' Tanjiro's eyes widened when he watched Uzui appear before him.

This surprised both Tanjiro and Gyuutaro at the same time.

'He's not dead!! Even though he wasn't dead, his heart was... Oh, I see. He forced his heart to stop with his muscles. By doing so, the poison stopped circulating temporarily.' Gyuutaro realized.

A wide smile was seen on Uzui's lips.

"The 'score' is complete!!! We're gonna wiiiinnnn!!!" Uzui hollered as he attacked Gyuutaro with a set of his own barrage of attacks.

"Uzui-san, where's (Y/n)-kun?!" Tanjiro asked.

"Don't worry, he's on his way!" Uzui answered.

'So that Storm Breath user isn't dead, either? Is that why Muzan-sama said that he was strong enough to rival against the other Upper Moon demons? That he could become a demon himself?' Gyuutaro thought.

Gyuutaro had his teeth clenched when he saw that Uzui was now being difficult despite having only one arm holding his weapon.

Blood went flying out of Uzui's wounds, but he continued to keep fighting.

"Uzui-san!!" Tanjiro hollered.

"Don't stop! Goooo!!" Uzui yelled back.

Tanjiro immediately moved forward to get closer to Gyuutaro's neck, wanting to end this.
